Double D - Monochromatic

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm happy to say I am hosting today's challenge and our theme is:

MONOCHROMATIC
(any color)

and here's an inspiration board I've created to help get you started . . .

To create today's card I went the easy route and let the designer paper from my Craft Consortium 'Ink Drops - Ocean' paper pad do the heavy lifting for the theme.  Using the strip I had cut off the one side to make my background panel the proper size for my card front, I simply matted it with white card stock and used it as an accent panel.

A Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaf die cut from white card stock then inked with TH distress oxide 'Faded Jeans' ink

along with a tag cut from the Poppystamps 'Stitched Main Street' tag die set (#1268) and my focus image/sentiment is complete.

I hope you've found inspiration from today's creation!
The prize that you'll be playing for this time around is:

Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!

  10. Yesterday was a travel day and now we are back in WI. Thanks for a great challenge, on that I have fun with again. I jsut have to know where you got the sentiment. It is one that I say often. I have not seen it on a card until now. What a fantastic idea. You must let me know if it was hand written or a stamp?
