Hello Friends!
I have some exciting news to finally share with you today! Way back in late summer 2020 I applied for a CAS challenge design team and today I can announce (with great pride) that I've been invited to join the new team over at the PERFECTLY CAS CHALLENGE BLOG!!!
Now those of you who know me, know that CAS style is not my typical ... but I've been practicing and trying to create in this style more often over the past year. I'm honored they have faith in me to follow through and hopefully inspire others who like me, used to shy away from CAS ... and are now ready to give it a go!!
Our January theme is:
Here's what I've created for you today . . .
I have used the Tim Holtz 'Holiday Knit' stencil for my design
and the sentiment came from the Altenew 'Modern Fox' stamp set.
I've used Tim Holtz 'Chipped Sapphire' and 'Crackling Campfire' distress oxide inks and a large sponge dauber for my stencil inking.
within 1/3 of your card to make sure it is CAS.
As always . . .
Oh wow, what fun and exciting news!!! I'm so happy for you, and they are so lucky to have you. Your card is GORGEOUS!!! Good job on the CAS - I'm not so good at it. I will be looking into this challenge blog, have never heard of it. CONGRATS!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is exciting!!! CAS is not something I do well either so I know how proud you must be. This new adventure should be fun. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteO Wow! Just love this!
ReplyDeleteCAS is also a style that I find very difficult!
You rocked this one though!
Hugs from Africa!

Congrats, always fun to go out of our normal style and try something new. I like the colors you used with this stencil and how you used it as a border, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the team! Love your make, I’m sure I used to have a sweater in hat pattern once!
ReplyDeleteWonderful way to start your new DT, Darlene. This card is gorgeous and festive. I'm sure they're very happy to have you on their team. Congratulations! Looking forward to awesome inspiration from you. I can't make CAS cards because even when I try, I can't leave well enough alone and just keep adding "just one more little thing" :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, and keep safe and well.

Your card is unique. Like a warm winter sweater in a beautiful color combination. You used the masking stencil perfectly. Your CAS card looks like it is your favorite style for years :-)
