Stencil Fun Challenge (9/25) - Nature

 Hello Everyone!

It's time for another fun challenge over on our Stencil Fun Challenge!

Remember, this challenge is all about using your STENCILS.
We are a MONTHLY challenge that begins on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month.
Theme will always be ANYTHING GOES USING STENCILS but we will also offer an OPTIONAL theme.

Tim Holtz 'Autumn' (THS060) Stencil

Various Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks

Finger daubers

1/4" strips of Fall Colored card stock scraps

For my second card (Anything Goes), 

 

 I had a lot of fun with this one!  I used the Ciao Bella 'Fishbone' stencil for my background.  Coloring it as thought it where a brick wall that has patina'd over time by using 3 different TH distress oxide inks.  I then inked up a scrap of white card stock using another TH distress oxide green ink and die cut my ivy and birthday sentiment.  Inking a little extra green on the leaves and sentiment for dimension.  Prima flowers & Nuvo crystal drops were used for the floral accents.

Hopefully you'll get those stencils out and have some fun with us.
We won't always have a prize but periodically we will, you just never know!

Stencil Fun Challenge (8/25) - Trees and/or Leaves

Tim Holtz 'Birch' (THS-069) Stencil
Tim Holtz 'Walnut Stain' Distress Oxide ink
Large sponge dauber
Stampscapes rubber stamp sentiment

 

 

 For my second card (Anything Goes),

The Ciao Bella 'Leaves' stencil was used in conjunction with 3 different TH distress oxide green inks to create the background for my card.  

A simple sentiment (stamps from my Doni collection), a prima flower & a little bee that I believe is from a Hero Arts set that I've made several and have them in a little bag to grab when the mood strikes me ... like today lol.

Stencil Fun Challenge (7/25) - Your Flag Colors

It's time for another fun challenge over on our Stencil Fun Challenge!

Theme will always be ANYTHING GOES USING STENCILS but we will also offer an OPTIONAL theme.

Your FLAG COLORS

 

 

 This card was created by simply stenciling pieces & parts of a Stamperia stencil using Tim Holtz Prize Ribbon and Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks and sponge daubers.

 

 

 

 

For my second card (Anything Goes),

The stencils I've used for this card are OLD .. OLD .. OLD!  It's a Martha Stewart set I can't even begin to remember where I bought them!  But this is what the packaging looks like.

 

 I used two of the stencils from this pack for my flowers and then used the My Favorite Things 'Cloud Stencil' for my background clouds.  An old Cheery Lynn Designs (no longer in business) FENCE die  was used to anchor the scene.

Theme will always be ANYTHING GOES USING STENCILS but we will also offer an OPTIONAL theme.

Summertime Fun

 

The stencil used today is from a 3 stencil set by American Crafts ... Where to Next? - Vicki Boutin.  To fit the theme I turned to my dies for these cute Tutti Designs die cuts and the sentiment  by Catherine Pooler (from my Doni collection).

 

 Torn green card stock was used to create the grass.

 

For my second card (Anything Goes), 

 

 

 

I've used a Picket Fence stencil called 'Flowers and Polka Dot Fun' (SC-281).  Colored with TH green distress oxide ink and large sponge dauber.

 

 

 

 A Tutti Designs postage die was used for the framing, 3D Hearty Crafts 'spring flowers' topper and sentiment complete my card.
