Sisterhood of Crafters - Favorite Color

Hello Friends and Welcome Back!
Today begins a new challenge over on the Sisterhood of Crafters Blog
and the theme is YOUR FAVORITE COLOR!

Anyone who knows me immediately can tell you what
my favorite color is!!  LOL   And that color would be ...

Yep ... PURPLE ... any shade of purple!

A short while back, I bought this beautiful 12x12 paper pack
by Ella & Viv called 'The Butterfly Effect Kit'.
Within this paper pack was a sheet of gorgeous paper that had three
things that I love ... Purple, Flowers & Butterflies

How could I NOT grab that paper and start creating???

To bring further focus to the butterfly,
I die cut THREE frames using the Tutti Designs
then stacked them together for added dimension.

An added touch of elegance was achieved

The only thing left to do was add a sentiment.
For that, I chose this wonderful Penny Black 'Awesome' die.
I first cut it from white card stock which I then colored using the Spectrum Noir HB1 alcohol marker, then die cut a second time from black card stock and off set the two creating a 'shadow effect'.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

Really Darlene? You like purple? I would never have known. Wow, that's some gorgeous paper! Very clever the way you framed the butterfly. Really great sentiment die and absolutely perfect Nuvo drops. I'll have to think when was the last time I had mine out. Sigh... summer has not given me as much time to stamp as I'd like. Beautiful things like this do inspire me, though! YOU are awesome!

I love purple too. But truth be told I love all colors. I am so amazed at the beautiful card you created with the pattern paper and using the dies. All the shades of purple make this card even more gorgeous.

Oh boy, I could have made this card because purple is MY favorite color too. However, MY card would not have been as gorgeous as yours. LOVE the background, and the butterfly is perfect with the pretty frame.
