Cute

 Happy Saturday Friends . . .

I recently placed an order at A Cherry on Top for some of their latest release and when it came I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free 12x12 sheet of beautiful images as a thank you!  My BFF Diane (my favorite enabler lol) also placed an order and received the same sheet of images.  Now I must admit, she's smarter than I am, because she used her Scan & Cut to cut hers ... I spent two days fussy cutting mine because I don't know how to use my Scan & Cut that I bought 2-3 years ago (for shame, for shame!  lol).

Anyways, I have grown to enjoy creating cards in the CAS design style and the theme over on the CAS on Friday blog is 'Cute'.  One of the images on the afore mentioned sheet is of a sweet little deer so thought that would be perfect.  Here's my card . . .

Inside view

The two frames I used to showcase this adorable little fawn were extras that were hanging on my 'extras' pegboard and the background designer paper is by Mintay.  The pot of flowers on the inside of my card is another one of those adorable free images.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!
Hope you have a FABULOUS weekend ahead!

As always . . .

Some-Bunny Loves You

 Hello Friends ...

WOW!  Here we are approaching the end of another week ... time is certainly flying!

Today I've pulled a fun stamp set from my 'Doni Collection' to create this cute card.  Doni always loved those 'cutsie' type stamps and enjoyed coloring & fussy cutting her images then came up with some of the most amazing CAS designs.  I, on the other hand, don't do a lot of cutsie cards but in honor of her I try to create something I think she would like.

This is a stamp set called 'Some Bunny [2018]' from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps company which sadly closed in 2022.

My design was inspired by the current challenge over on The Paper Player (2/20)  blog where the theme was to create a CAS birthday card with a balloon or balloons.

I had this Cottage Cutz 'Nested Wacky Stitched Square' (CCB-072) die cut square hanging on my 'extras' pegboard so using it as my guide, I created a sky background by using the My Favorite Things 'cloud' stencil and TH distress oxide ink.  After stamping the bunny I fussy cut it to create my little scene.  The sentiment stamp is also from that same stamp set.

Other challenges to share in:

Critter Crazy Challenge #107 - ATG w/featured critter for Feb (2/25)
Crafty Animals Challenge #102 - ATG w/animals (2/27)
Seize the Birthday #320 - CAS with Dies (2/24)

I hope my card made you smile.

 As always . . .

Double D - Signs of Love

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Here's today's theme:

SIGNS of LOVE

and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

So many options ... but since I was in need of a couple wedding cards, that's the direction I went in today!    I've started out with one of the Hearty Crafts 'Wedding Couples' toppers and designed my card around that.  For my framing I've used the Sue Wilson 'Garden Delight' set (#CED4360) and colored the flowers in using Tombow markers, water & artist brush.

I used a Tombow marker that I also used for the flowers to do the hand drawn edging on my card front.  The Frantic Stamper (FRA-DIE-09496) Congrats sentiment die was cut from a scrap of pink card stock.  A few little gems were added to the flower centers for that touch of wedding sparkle.

The 3D topper & die sets used today ...

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!

  As always . . .

Beautiful Bouquet

 Happy Tuesday Friends . . .

While doing my challenge blog commenting, I noticed that the new challenge over on Beautiful Blossoms just happens to include my favorite color so of course I had to create something and play along.

Here is their optional mood board . . .

I would LOVE to have a vase of flowers like this sitting on my table right now ... wouldn't you!!??!!

I immediately went to my drawer of various 'purple' designer papers and settled on the P13 ' Time to Relax' 6x6 paper pack to create with.  Unfortunately I believe it has been discontinued.

P13 - Time To Relax Collection - 6 x 6 Paper Pad

Here's what I came up with  . . .

I went to my scrap box for the yellow strips as well as the green & purple backing panels.  The focus flower is one that I fussy cut from the backside of the front cover.  The white oval decorative panel & the green sprigs are from a very old 'Joy Crafts die set that I've had for at least 10 years and have only used a couple of times (don't ask me why as it is very pretty and cuts beautifully).

Nuvo crystal drops were used as an accent and I've popped up the focus flowers using dimensional tape.  I wanted to add a sentiment but not a large one ... then remembered the awesome stamp & die set from the TON that I had stamped & cut in various colors several months back and settled on this pretty gold embossed sentiment.

Challenges to share in:

Dogwood Blossoms

 Hello Friends ...

Did you have a nice Valentine's Weekend?

I have a clean & simple card to share today that I had fun creating with something NEW and something OLD.  The Simon Says embossing folder is my new item (SF426 Dancing Floral) and the wood block Impression Obsession dogwood stamp is VERY (2004) old!

I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks, water & artist brush for the coloring on my dogwood blossoms.  Then using a swivel craft knife, I fussy cut around it and added a sentiment from the TON.

Sadly, I seem to always be in need of sympathy cards these days and I thought this design would work perfectly.  What do you think?

Here are a couple of challenges I'd like to share in today . . .

CAS on Friday Challenge #327 - ATG CAS (2/18)
Just Add Ink Challenge #779 - Sketch (2/28)

Addicted to CAS #301 - Pink (2/20)

I  hope you have a great week ahead.
They are saying we are to have some warmer temps for a few days (40-50s and almost 60) before the 'bottom falls out' again and temps drop back to the 20-30s.  But Spring is right around the corner and I am SO READY for it!  LOL

Peace on Earth Challenge #106

Hello Friends and welcome back to my blog!
SO happy you stopped by!

Today I have a card to share for the new challenge over on the PEACE ON EARTH CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE BLOG.  Of course the theme is Anything Christmas and we hope you'll come join in the fun!

Here's a fun inspiration board we've created to help get you started ...

Once again, I turned to the Penny Black images I have in my stash to create today's card.  These images are just the right size and fabulous images to create an quick & easy scenery card with.

I used a white panel and embossed it using an old Darice SnowFlake folder.
Next I die cut the center using the largest of the Tutti Designs Stitched Scallop Rectangle die set.  Then adhered the embossed frame onto a panel of red card stock and positioned my image in the center.  An OLD Memory Box 'Frosty Border' (#98171) was used to adorn the left side of my card face.

I might add a sentiment to the front later or just add one to the inside of my card.

PLEASE be sure to pop over to THE BLOG and check out the amazing designs our design team has created for your inspiration.  What a group of talented ladies!!  Then come join in the fun!!

As always ... thanks again for stopping by!

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

Here's what I've created to inspire you today ...

What an easy yet attractive card I was able to create today by just using a 3D embossing folder and a couple of dies!

Product used is . . .

So Very Sorry

Happy Friday friends!   We are headed out shortly to do some shopping and have an early Valentine's Day Lunch at one of our favorite eateries.  But before we go, I wanted to create a quick card to share with you that joins in a couple online challenge blogs.  Here's what I've created . . .

The challenges I'm playing in are:

Freshly Made Sketch #723 - here's the sketch (2/17)

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #286 - using Florals, Ink Blending & Sentiment Strip (2/28)

I received a few new embossing folders from Simon Says yesterday and just couldn't wait to create something with one of them so I went with the SS (SF470) Blossom Bursts folder.  This is a 3D folder so after embossing my white panel, I used the residual ink left in some of my small sponge daubers and did my ink blending for the background panel.

The lower panel is a designer paper sheet from the Paper Rose 'Dear Isabella Patterns' 6x6 pack.  It's 2-sided so I've used both the polka dot & floral panels.  I've added a few extras that were 'laying around' ... the Elizabeth Craft Ivy Vine and Heartfelt Creations flower plus one of the sentiments from my 'premade  and ready to use' the TON stamp/die sentiments.

Okay ... hubby is chompin' at the bit to get going so I'd better get movin' LOL.

Have a great day & thanks so much for stopping by!
As Always . . .

Sisterhood Challenge (2/2026) - Stitching

Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme today is:

 STITCHING

 Here's what I came up with . . .

I used a stamp from the Rubbernecker 'Birthday Lilies' set (#3494) the die cut using the Tutti Designs 'Stitched Nesting Postage' (#618) and matted each panel using rust colored card stock.  Faux Hand Stitching was done around the outer edge of my card front and I accented the stitching on the die cuts using one of the Tombow markers I used in the coloring.

Here's a peek at the inside . . .

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Purple Birthday Flowers

 Happy Tuesday All!

I'm off to take care of a couple appointments but wanted to quickly share with you a card I created yesterday that was inspired by the sketch challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday  blog where you have the choice of a couple different sketches ... I chose this one.

 Sketch #320

And here's what I've created . . .

Products used are:

Precious Marieke - Romantic Roses paper pack
The Paper Boutique - Lavender Fields A4 colored card collection (solid colors)
Altenew 'Build-A-Garden: Glowing Gardenias' Stamp and Die sets
Iron On Ribbon Bow (RAK)
Nuvo Crystal Drops (Violet Galaxy)
 Dimensional Tape
Tombow Markers (#098, #665, #623)
Endless Creations Sentiment Stamp

The delicate lavender ribbon bow is an iron on that Kay Squires (crafty friend) sent to me years ago!  Sadly I've lost touch with her but 'if you're out there Kay ... thanks for your kindness'.

Coloring was done using Tombow markers and I took the liberty of using the shape of my focus flowers for the center circular shape in the sketch.

I haven't used any of these products in a very long time and it was great fun to 'blow the dust' off them and create something beautiful to share with you today.  I don't make square cards as I find it difficult to sell them at my annual craft show.  With the postage already so high in price and square cards cost more to send, I stick with my A6 size cards so tweaked the sketch to fit rectangular vs square.

* CONFESSION TIME *

I must confess, I thought I had my card done & ready to photograph and share ... then while writing up my post I realized I had forgotten the 'little ribbon' embellishment ... SO, I added the ribbon, took another photo, edited the photo and re-added it to my write up.

THEN . . .

looking at the sketch again, I realized I had also forgotten the 'corner dots' ... What the heck!!!  SO, once again, I added the dots, took another photo, edited the photo and re-added it to my write up!  Geesh!  I hope I have everything now!  LOL

We Love Stamping February Challenge - Hearts or ATG (2/28)
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #773 - Love or ATG (2/28)

I hope you enjoyed today's card share!  I am off now to my mammogram (VERY IMPORTANT), then to my sister's shop for my monthly hair cut and to my friend Jodi's shop for my monthly pedicure.  Yes, I treat myself to these appointments once a month ... well, NOT the mammogram lol.  That would be crazy!!
Once a year is often enough for that one!! 😂

Thanks for stopping by and as always . . .
