Easter Bonnet Time ...

'Top of the Morning' to you my friends!
I'm headed out this morning for Pennsylvania to link up with my family for church service.
But before I go I wanted to share with you a card I had created last week
using a couple beautiful ladies in what could be their Easter Bonnets!
OR just a couple really cool hats!!  LOL!

The images I've used are from the Nicecrane Designs 'Vintage Women Hat' sheet.
Background design paper is from Heartfelt Creations ...
and the oval & flourish dies used on this card are Joy Crafts #0258.
Inside I've used Spellbinder Labels 17 and Cheery Lynn Designs Exotic Butterflies.

A couple little Wild Orchid Flowers and faux stitching  were used for embellishment.

Easter Treats with Crafty Secrets

Happy Friday!
Here we are into mid March already!
I have my first Spring craft show next weekend and luckily Crafty Vintage Girl Store has all the adorable vintage Easter/Spring images & papers I need to create some fun goody packing for this coming Easter.

Everyone loves to receive a little "Chocolate Something" on Easter!

Aren't these Hershey Bar Pouch and matching little goody box adorable?

For my Hershey Bar Pouch, I printed/cut/scored the Printable Forget Me Not Digital Paper. I just think the little buy is so cute and he tied in perfectly with the little girls/bunnies tag that is a part of the Easter Kids Printable 2x2 Box and Tag set.

There also another printable box & tag set available at the Crafty Vintage Girl Store and it is called Printable Bunnies Mini Gift Box & Gift Tag.
Both of these boxes with tag sets are so easy to make and just adorable!!

Printable Bunny Mini Gift Box and Tag T-30
One more creation to share with you today and it's another Hershey Bar Pouch!
For this pouch, I have printed the Digital Green Floral Damask paper and the images I have printed for my Easter focus are from the Digital Easter Blessing set.

I hope you have enjoyed my little goody projects today.
If by chance you don't have the dimension for the Hershey Bar Pouch and would like it, just leave me a message and I'd be glad to give it to you!

A few challenges:
Pile It On #10 - Easter Joy
All Crafts Challenge - Anything BUT a Card
Crafty Cardmakers - Anything BUT a Card / Slap It On

Rainbow Wedding

Hello again ... sorry, just couldn't help myself!
I had two rainbow panels laying on my table that I had created for my previous post ...
well you know I just couldn't set it aside ... I had to create with both of them
plus I've been wanting to die cut the Cheery Lynn Designs wedding die
since I bought it (awhile back!)
I actually think these two paired well together.
I can remember being in my sister's wedding ... the bridesmaids were all in pastel rainbow colors!
YEP ... (back in the late 60s) ... wedding are MUCH different today!!

I have a need for some wedding cards in my stash and I think THIS die will make for some quick & easy cards that will look fabulous!  Maybe more of a 'stained glass' background look ... even an outside scenery photo ... that would be cool!  Okay ... enough thinking out loud!

Here's a few challenges to share in:
Classy Cards n Such - Rainbow of Color
City Crafter's Challenge - Beautiful Rainbow
Pumpkin Spice - Rainbows
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Anything Goes with a Bow
Craft-Dee Bowz March Challenge - Anything Goes w/handmade Bow
4 Krafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Frilly and Funkie Challenge - Neglected Dies

Thanks for stopping back and hope you like my card.
Oh and I forgot to mention I used my new bow making tool from Craft-Dee Bowz to create my bow today.  I thought I was making a 3 loop bow ... ended up with 4 loops.  Happy to say it came together beautifully and quite easily actually!
Have a great day/evening!

Rainbow of Colors

Good Afternoon Friends!
Second post for today!

Stampscapes Sentiment Stamp
Cheery Lynn Designs Exotic Butterfly Dies (CCNS)

Vintage Butterflies

Good Morning All!
Another snowy, treacherous day in Ohio yesterday but it's supposed to warm back up today!
Terrible 30-50 car pile ups on the Ohio Turnpike!  OMG ... come on Spring!!
Anyways, today I'd like to share a card I made for the current Joan's Touch Challenge #4.

The requirements are:
  • Use a circle ... perhaps a round doily
  • Colors - Peach and Teal
  • Use Butterflies and layer them
  • Use a product sold at Joan's Gardens

I love, love, love Graphic45 design papers and here are a couple of my favorites ... Secret Garden and A Lady's Diary.    The image and tag are coordinating chipboard pieces that I've had since this design was released but have never used any of them ... UNTIL TODAY!!

The doily is a Wilton paper doily and the butterfly punch is Martha Stewart.  I like that Joan required you to 'layer' your butterflies!  I never think to do that and they look SO COOL!!!

I have also used the  Graphic45 Secret Garden Patterns & Solids paper pack for my butterflies.  Punched 3 times with a sheet of double sided 6x6 paper and reversed the center panel for more fun look.  A few mini Kaiser pearls (paper & pearls from Joan's Gardens) down the center give the butterflies a more 'finished' look also.

I'd like to share my card with the following challenges:
Butterfly Challenge #3 - Stitching (real or faux) and Butterfly
Hobbybook Designer Challenge #1 - Make it Girlie
Digi Choosday Challenge - All about the Girls
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #186 - Stitching
Craft-Dee Bowz March Challenge - Anything Goes w/handmade Bow
Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge - Vintage/Retro
Crafting By Design March Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafting By Design Challenge - Things with Wings

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hope the weather is BEAUTIFUL where you are today!
It's goes from the teens to the 60ths through out the week here in Ohio, USA!  CRAZY!!

Sisterhood - Sentimental Journey

Hello Friends!

Today we are on a SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY over at The Sisterhood of Crafters.
That simply means using a SENTIMENT as the focus of your card/project.

For my first card I decided to work on some cards with ATTITUDE!  Awhile back,  I won an entire sheet of sentiment stamps over on Repeat Impressions.  This sheet is called 'Funny Bones Series 2'.  You will be seeing more 'attitude' cards to come!  Just saying . . .

And, for my second card I went a little more soft & subtle!  By using one of the sentiment panels from the Graphic45 'The Secret Garden' paper pack, making a flower and adding some ribbon.

If you read the verse, I'm sure like myself, you have had times when you wish there was a Secret Garden where you just close yourself in and be one with nature ... if just for a little while!
I added the Spare Parts key to mimic the one on the sentiment panel.

Why not take that SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY and come join our challenge!
Thanks for stopping by today!

SFC1014 - The Earth Laughs in Flowers

Happy Monday Bloggers!

Today's challenge at Squigglefly is 'The Earth Laughs in Flowers'!
I can hardly wait for my flower beds to start laughing their little heads off!  LOL!
Would you believe I've had spring bulbs pop up out o the ground about 3" only to be FROZEN with the last two snow storms and frigid temperatures!  Poor little things!!

Anyways ... here's my card for today using an adorable image called
"Pigtail Gabby" by artist Cheryl Grant Alger

I've used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for my coloring and the background paper is from the First Edition Papers 'Love Letters' that I won recently at Classy Cards n Such (thanks Beverly).
Did you notice the ladybug on the little girls shirt?
Well I thought I needed a few ladybugs around this cluster of Petaloo & Darice flowers too ...
SO ... I got out my Sizzix 'Susan's Garden' Ladybug kit and made up
about a dozen of them that I have stored now in a little jar to use
on all my upcoming spring/summer creations!
After all, if you have lady bugs in your house you know they show up EVERYWHERE ...
ALL SUMMER LONG!
So expect to see more on my cards with flowers! LOL!

Here's a closeup ...

Gate Fold in Purple ...

Happy Sunday Morning Friends!
We have family visiting from Pittsburgh but while they are still asleep this morning I thought I'd share a card with you that I created yesterday while playing with some of the images I recently won over on The Outlawz from Rick St. Dennis.  This images is called '1960 Couture Hat'.

Anyone who knows me knows I love PURPLE!  Any shade of it!
So, of course I just had to color one of these lovely ladies in this regal color!
A pretty quick and easy design.  My design paper is Paper Pizazz and I just love the wispy pattern.

A touch of Crystal Effects was added to the gems on her hat and her broach.
And of course a little sponging of TH Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges to give her a more vintage look.  I have had the regal gold satin ribbon in my stash for a very long time and thought it worked perfectly with the gold broach and deep purple.

I don't know why I forget to make gate fold cards!  They are so eye appealing and always get attention at my craft shows.  So, today I finally 'thought about it' when cutting/scoring my base card.

A few challenges:
DL.ART #127 - Image of a girl or lady
Crafters Companion - Monochromatic
Just B Creative Crazy - Anything Goes
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge - Anything Goes Twist: my favorite color

Lady in Green . . .

Good Evening All!

QUICKLY I must get this card posted ... only an hour left to enter the Cheery Lynn Designs 'Doilies' challenge!  Yikes!  I thought I had another day!  Silly me!

Why is it when you're in a hurry nothing goes right!
I will probably replace these photos later ... the coloring is OFF!
For some reason my camera wanted to put a PINK haze around my card.
The GREEN color on this lovely lady by Rick St. Dennis is actually a KELLY GREEN!
As is the background paper.
The TAN paper sponged with TH Vintage Photo ink also looks orange!
Grrrrr!
Still a pretty card but wish the colors were closer to real!

OKAY HERE WE GO!
This is a little closer to the true color ...
Still has a pink haze but not as strong as before.

My flower is the CLD - Shasta Daisy strip.  It's white with a SU More Mustard sponged center.
I'll be back in a bit with more details and hopefully better photos!
Till then ... have a nice evening!
Snow (again! really!) here in Ohio!  Thought we were done with the white stuff!

Easter Greetings

Happy Saturday Everyone!
This morning I finally got around to creating a card for the new challenge over at Craft Hoarders Anonymous.  The theme for this challenge is Vintage/Retro and Graphic45 is their sponsor!

Well, you know I LOVE Vintage design and Graphic45 is one of my favorite vintage style design paper companies so this challenge was right up my alley.  Although I must say, I didn't have to put a lot of effort into this card!  All the 'pieces' came from the Graphic45 'Sweet Sentiments' and 'Secret Garden' 8x8 paper packs.  A touch of gingham ribbon and pop dots was pretty much all that was required to put this card together!

How quick/easy & awesome is this!
With doing an unexpected craftshow in a couple of weeks, I'm scurrying about trying to be sure I have enough SPRING styled cards ready so I think I'll be 'whipping up' a few more of these beauties.

With all the square cuts, I wanted to add a little more dimension, so I tucked the lower corner images up underneath the focus image and POPPED up the Easter greeting panel. The gingham ribbon was tied around the 1st layer of matting and by moving the pop dots back a bit on the focus panel, it gave room to tuck in these adorable ticket panel images.

I also overlaid another one of the 'ticket' images in the upper right corner.
What do you think?
It has actually taken me longer to type up this post then it did to make the card!  LOL!

Here are a couple more challenges I'd like to share with:
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge - Anything Goes twist/favorite color (purple)
Your Next Stamp Challenge - Photo Inspiration
Annabelle Stamp Challenge - Color Inspiration
Sister Act Challenge - Anything Goes

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

This printable file is designed so you can print these gorgeous images, then flip the paper and print the other side with the 'postcard' print.  Yes, you could send these as actual postcards.  However, I have a craft show coming up in a couple of weeks and chose to just print the one side and make a full size card for each image.

Printable Easter Blessings Postcards Download T-35

Would you like to see a close up of each card?
I simply went through some of my design papers and selected a background pattern that I thought complimented the images.  I haven't used much in the way of embellishment ... they are so beautiful on their own, they don't need much more!
You can click on any of the images for an even closer look!

These were very EASY PEASY to create but I think they are SO BEAUTIFUL!
I hope you're inspired to get started on YOUR Easter cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
