Hello my bloggy friends!
It's time for another Funday Friday Challenge at Jo's Scrap Shack.
I'm sad to say this will be my last DT creation for Jo's Scrap Shack!
My design team stay has been a short one unfortunately! I have found that my personal life will be a busy one this summer and I didn't think it was fair to Jo & the team to possibly not be able to hold up my end so with regret I've decided to step down. But Jo has been generous enough to extend the offer of my coming back on the team should I find things 'lighten up' a bit so who knows ... thanks Jo!!
Today's theme is:
3-2-1
(3 Colors, 2 Embellishments & 1 Technique)
We have 2 sponsors this week:
The design team has split up so both fabulous sponsors are represented properly.
Today I'll be showcasing the lovely 'Daphne Dancing' by Sheri Baldy.
One lucky winner will receive 3 digital stamps from the 5 showcased by the DT !!
So make sure to play along this week~
Starts: Friday, May 20th 12:00AM (EST)
Ends: Friday, May 27th 6:00PM (EST)
YIKES!
I had my image nearly colored when I thought to look at the theme of our challenge! Have you ever done that? Yes you say? Well good, now I don't feel so bad! LOL
My 3-2-1 are:
Colors: Blue, Orange, Yellow
Embellishments: Ribbon and Sequins
Technique: Spectrum Noir Scribble Background
Okay ... so I made up the technique on the fly! LOL
I needed a panel that would pull these colors together so I simply cut a piece of water color paper the size I needed, scribbled on it with the Spectrum Noir alcohol marker colors I used on my image, sprayed it with alcohol and then went over the edge with the yellow again. The markers used were GB2, BT4 & OR2. I also used the darker BT7 on the image for the polka dot elements. I colored the entire portion then went over it with a White Gelly Roll Pen to fill in the polka dots. I think it really helped showcase my three colors ... what do you think? Was fun too ... always a good thing!
