Hello Everyone!
Today I have a card 'for the ladies' to share!
I knew I wanted to start with a sketch for today's creation and decided to use the first sketch I saw when I opened the Paper Playful site of challenges ... which is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. And, it just so happens to be the sketch my good friend Diane (Nellie's Nest) was telling me about yesterday. Mind you, if Paper Playful would have had the Tuesday challenges up ... this would have been entirely different. LOL
Lately I've been trying to use some of my OLD 'shtuff' so I grabbed this VERY OLD (at least 5 years) sheet of designer paper called 'the girls' paperie by Margie' which is actually double sided so worked perfectly. For my focus, I've used the Sue Wilson 'Expressions - Ornate Oval - My Friend' 4 piece die set #CED5420 which I think I've only cut once before.
The flowers are from Heartfelt Creations. They are left over die cuts from the Adventures in Stamping show I demo'd for them two years ago. I simply sponged a little Tim Holtz 'picked raspberries' distress ink on to match my design.
For a touch of greenery around my flowers, I die cut the Elizabeth Craft 'Leafy Branch 4' from olive card stock and snipped it apart to fit in around both the corner flower cluster and the flowers atop my pretty yellow satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. And, my bow was made with the help of the bow making tool at Craft-Dee Bowz.
To help accent my focus image, I went around the outside edge with a Gold Pilot Marker and popped it up with dimensional tape.
Here's a peek at the inside of my card.
I was going to leave it blank for a hand written message but this card is 5x7 in size so there was plenty of room for a stamped sentiment as well as room for a hand written message.
