Hello dear friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over
on the Sisterhood of Crafters Blog!
Our hostess today is Debbie and the theme she has chosen is:
FRIENDSHIP
Here's what I have to share ...
I created this card by actually fussy cutting into a 6x6 panel from the Mintay by Karola 'Dreamer' paper pad. In fact, I created TWO cards using this same sheet. I don't make square cards because of the extra postage so I turned this one panel into two cards ... here's the other card.
At the back of the paper pad are a few sheets of little accent squares that coordinate with the papers. On both cards, I've done additional fussy cutting for my accent embellishments.
I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

ReplyDeleteWOW!! These cards are stunning! Love that paper so much!! Perfect cards for good friends. Have a wonderful week, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteWhat great paper to use with your friendship sentiments, Darlene! Being a bird lover (especially hummers), both cards are right up my alley! Well done, Sistah!!
ReplyDeleteThe images are amazing and I like your cards a lot!!

Lovely both the cards, great collage of the beautiful papers!!
ReplyDeleteI love both of your cards. That is such beautiful paper. And, I don't make square cards either much. But if I do I make it small enough so that it fits into an A2 envelope and then it is not extra postage.
ReplyDeleteOMG, that is one gorgeous paper pad and some fantastic fussy cutting! I truly thought you had used ephemera. I'm sure I don't have this pad. I swoon over all Mintay. I fussy cut some Mintay papers like this once and don't know why I haven't done it again. You do such a beautiful job of it. This is really a good way to use the whole sheet without making a 6" square card. Dang, I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely set of cards, Darlene. Gorgeous paper that you used beautifully on your cards. I've heard of where people pay extra postage for their square cards. Most of my cards tend to be 5.5" x 5.5" and as long as they stay under the 1/4" thickness, I've never had to pay extra postage. I wonder if it depends on the different areas? In any case, you solved your postage problem beautifully :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
Big hugs,
♥ Lena
