Artsystamper Challenge - Vacation!

Hello my friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Artsystamper Challenge Blog where the team is showcasing digital images designed by Beverly Cole at Artsystamper Digitals!   The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month brings another Artsystamper Challenge
and today's theme is:

VACATION!

Who doesn't love a walk on the beach!
Unless of course you live at the beach then you probably want to come
north and play in the snow!  LOL   Either way, today, I'm vacationing at the beach with my creation.

Digital sets used on today's card are:

(using birds, fence, whispy beach grass & sentiment)

(using sea shells & star fish)

AND, my background came from ...

(using paper - right side furthest back panel)

After printing, a little pencil coloring was done on the far back dunes and at the base of the fencing.  Extra seashells were enlarged & printed in order to fussy cut & add below the sentiment.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun!
You do NOT have to used Beverly's images (of course we would love to see them if you have them) ... but you must follow the theme to qualify for the prize.  PRIZE you say . . .

YEP ... The winner of our challenges will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop.  Beverly Cole's selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-colored images for easy, last minute cards.  Why not take a moment and check out what she has in the store!!

Something new . . .

Hello Friends!

In the process of trying a new technique, I made one misstep and realized
it wasn't going to work out as planned lol!  So, I decided to forget the 'technique' for now but, continue on, turning what I did have completed into a card.

The technique I'm referring to is the Inside Pop-Up Scene Cards
by Jennifer McGuire.

 Here's how things ended up . . .

I think it's still a very nice card ... just doesn't have the 'pop-up' feature!
BUT I'm not giving up and as soon as I have a little extra time, I'll watch Jennifer's video again (a little more closely this time ... lol) and give it 'another go'!

Dies I've used are:

Jeanie's Art 'Mountain Border'
Jeanie's Art 'Pine Border'
PaperRose 'Grass Edger
Cottage Cutz 'Double Stitched Rectangles'
Joy! Craft 'Clouds'

Thanks for stopping by and here's wishing you a wonderful Vitamin D day ahead!!

Sisterhood of Crafter - Wedding

Hello my friends!
Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Our theme, chosen by Vicki this time around, is:

 Here Comes The Bride
(Wedding)

Digging back in my OLD designer papers, I remembered I had a paper
pack of beautiful papers that were perfect for a wedding card.  The colors are mutted
and some of the pages even have textured 'flocking' on them ... like velvet ... beautiful!

The dies used in the making of this card are ... DieNamites - Wedding Portrait (DN1300),
Die Versions - Mr & Mrs (DVSW036) and Tutti Designs - Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals

Tutti Designs - Scalloped Stitched Nesting Ovals

I've also added some Nuvo 'Buttermilk' Crystal Drops and tiny Prima flowers.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Tutti Designs - He loves me, He loves me not!

Hello friends!
Today's fun card was designed for the Tutti Designs Store and uses
one of their newest dies .. be sure to pop over and check out what Tutti has to offer!

The dies used today are 'Loves Me, Loves Me Not'.
TUTTI-607 Loves Me Loves Me Not
AND

Cross Stitched Nesting Hearts

 TUTTI-613 Cross Stitch Hearts
I created a quick background by simply sponging some blue distress ink for the sky and green for the grass where this adorable young lady could sit and ponder how her 'beau' might feel about her.  LOL

I also decided to paper piece her dress and hair ribbon, so simply ran the die through my machine again using a scrap of designer paper the did a little snipping and gluing ... VIOLA!

I created the sentiment on the computer, printed it out then die cut it with the next to largest heart dies.  Sponging around the outside edge of the heart helped add dimension.  Then, just in case she didn't come up with the answer she wanted from the flower she had in her hand, I added a few more flowers for her to choose from.  Drawing the stems on with a green marker and gluing on Prisma flowers with yellow Nuvo centers.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies available. Need more inspiration?  The team has something new to share on the Tutti Designs Blog  EVERY DAY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY!
Pop in often and see for yourself ... what a talented group of designers!!

Double D Challenge - Scraps

Hello Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge at the Double D Challenge Blog and, it's another fun theme chosen by Diane ... also check out the amazing mood board she has designed to inspire you!

Our theme is:  USE YOUR SCRAPS

This will be fun because if you're anything like me, you have plenty of scraps on your work table to create with.  It's amazing how quickly you can whip up a card just by using what you already have sitting around.

Here's the mood board Diane has created . . .

And, here's what I've created using some bits 'n bobs that were on my work table, discarded from other projects and begging for some love.

This was the last background panel (just had enough) from a 12x12 sheet and the purple panel was a scrap that I simply fancied up the edge with an OLD Martha Stewart punch.  This cute little Wild Rose Studio stamped image (one of three I had stamped awhile back and had extra) was just sitting there waiting for some coloring love so I tried to match up the flower as best I could to go with my papers.  The sentiment circle was sitting on a different table but I thought would work perfectly ... just needed a little touch of color so grabbed a coordinating Nuvo Crystal Drops bottle ... VIOLA!

OH yea ... I also rounded the edges of my image using an old Creative Memories corner rounder punch ... matted in black then edged punched that panel also.  CUTE!

Diane has this fabulous prize offered to one lucky winner.
But, you have to play to win!!

My Favorite Things ... Notched Border
Be sure to pop over to our Double D Challenge Blog and check out what the design team ladies have created ... they are amazingly talented and I'm sure you'll find more wonderful inspiration!

Hope to see you there!

Mix It Up Challenge - Acrylic Block Stamping

Hello my friends!
A new month means a new challenge over on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog.
Remember, this is a monthly Anything Goes challenge but with a fun twist that you can choose to join in on ... or not!  This month's theme is:
Anything Goes + Acrylic Block Stamping
Good Grief ... I haven't done anything like this in AGES ... what fun!

What do you think??

I truly LOVE how this came out!  I think this might be perfect for a sympathy card.

I simply used two different size acrylic blocks & SU Not Quite Navy ink
for my squares onto a panel of turquoise card stock which after stamping I die cut with one
of my rectangular die sets from Tutti Designs.  Then stamped my Great Impressions stamp with
Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.  A panel of Navy card stock was
used for the backing.

I do hope you'll pop over to the Mix It Up Challenge Blog and join in the fun!
You have until 6 PM EST the last day of the month to enter!
I'm so inspired by the rest of our amazing DT
and I can't wait to be inspired by YOUR project!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Tutti Designs - Butterflies in the Field

Hello friends!
Today's fun card was designed for the Tutti Designs Store and uses
one of their newest dies .. be sure to pop over and check out what Tutti has to offer!

The die used today is called Asian Screen (#594) and was a lot of fun to create with.
 TUTTI-594 Asian Screen

After die cutting the entire die from white card stock,
I then used scraps to recut the different butterflies and did a little
fussy cutting before mounting them over top of the butterflies in the white panel.

Then I found this perfect background paper in my stash
which had all the colors used on the paper pieced butterflies
AND I just happen to have bakers twine in all three colors
too so that was my choice of embellishment.
I'm very happy with the outcome!

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies available. Need more inspiration?  The team has something new to share on the Tutti Designs Blog  EVERY DAY MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY!

Artsystamper Challenge - Black & White + One other color

Hello my friends!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Artsystamper Challenge Blog where the team is showcasing digital images designed by Beverly Cole at Artsystamper Digitals!   The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month brings another Artsystamper Challenge
and today's theme is:

Black & White + One Other Color

 Digi sets used today are:

Early Spring Beauty

 Morning Glories
(HELLO SENTIMENT)

To create my focus image, I worked in Microsoft Word10.
I set my blank 'document' to 4x6 size and started adding in my images starting with
the 'colored' daffodil first (which I changed to color on to blue), then added in one uncolored crocus of which I copy/pasted several times around the base of my daffodil making sure I kept the daffodil image in the background and the crocus in the foreground.  Lastly I added the HELLO sentiment and changed the color also to blue.

I've used Tutti Designs Scallop Oval & Rectangle dies to showcase my image after printing it onto a 4x6 panel of glossy photo paper.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun!
You do NOT have to used Beverly's images (of course we would love to see them if you have them) ... but you must follow the theme to qualify for the prize.  PRIZE you say . . .

Merry Little Christmas Challenge

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Time

Hello Everyone!
It's a new month and that means the start of a new monthly challenge

WOW here we already are in the middle of 2020 ... time is flying
and I'm so happy I've got yet another holiday ready to add to the pile!

Here's what I have to share with you today . . .

Don't you just love that Country Cabin Plaid?

I've mixed some old product & new product together for this card.
This awesome plaid is from the Echo Park 'My Favorite Christmas' 6x6 pack
as is the sentiment.   To showcase my Cheery Lynn Designs 'Bring Home Christmas' die, I've die cut two background panels using the VERY OLD Spellbinder Labels 4 die cutting set.

Instead of stacking the labels panels, I actually cut the larger one from black
then die cut the center of that panel with the next size smaller die.
Using that same next size smaller die, I cut a panel from white card stock
and sponged some blue Tim Holtz distress ink over it to create a 'sky' effect.
I also added 'snow' on the background and on the branches of the tree using Nuvo White
Crystal Drops.

The upper icicle panel was created from a scrap of white card stock
and I use another very old item ... a Martha Stewart icicle PUNCH!
Yikes ... I haven't used my punches much at all since I got HOOKED on dies!  LOL

The sentiment is also a part of the paper pack, I simply die cut it

AND ... here's a peek at the inside!  Yes I finally remembered to
complete the inside before adding it to the pile ... LOL.

I hope you've enjoyed today's Christmas card and I can't wait to see what you create and share over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing you a fabulous week ahead!
As always ...
