Wishing you a Day of Joy!

Hello again my friends ...
I don't usually do this but I just had to make this card to share!

While having lunch with one of the design team members, she and I were discussing our 'styles' and encouraged each other to try styles that are outside our comfort zones.  She likes CAS and I like layers & embellishments so here is my attempt at CAS (clean and simple) for the current challenge over on the Addicted to CAS Challenge Blog where the theme is 'Girl Power'.

Holy Moly ... I might have to switch styles LOL ... this card literally took me 5 minutes to create!
The only 'embellishment' are the score lines down the left side.
The stamp set used to adorn the front of my card is from a company that I don't believe is in business any longer ... 'Flourishes'.   And the inside sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

INSIDE
So there you have it ...
I have done the CAS style before but I think THIS is truly a CAS card where some in the past may have been 'pushing it' a bit!  LOL  I hope you'll come check out this challenge blog and give it a go!

Challenges to share in:
Everybody Art Challenge #428 - Birthday
Artistic Inspiration Challenge #203 - Anything Goes
Crazy for CAS Challenge #8 - Summer

OH and before I go!
When I came back out to my car after our 'fun lunch get together', the temperature inside my car read 106 degrees!!  And,  THAT my friends is why you don't leave your pets (or your children) in the car while you run your errands!

Okay ... off my soap box!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are having a fabulous week!
As always ...

I LOVE this!! I never do clean and simple, but I always like what others do. That little image is so stinkin' adorable. Really, really sweet card. I might have to rethink the whole CAS thing!

Wow, you aced the CAS challenge, Darlene! I love this card! I always admire CAS when other people do it and I try... Not sure I ever quite get there. Maybe sorta sometimes. This style is truly liberating, isn't it? Talk about a quick birthday card. And so cute! The image and sentiment are beautifully crisp, and the score lines down the side are just enough. Fantastic!

I am with you, I am more of a layers kind of girl but there is just something about kid silhouettes that don't need much of anything else, they are just so precious! I love the added scorelines, it gives it something more without being too much :) great job on your clean and simple
