So Much to be Thanksful For . . .

Hello Dear Friends!
WOW!  Are you as crazy busy as I am??
Well, after getting through that aweful stomach virus and my mojo taking a 'leave of absence', I'm finally back with a couple of cards to share with you.

But before I do, I'd like to share with you a couple photos taken yesterday at a wonderful Ladies Luncheon function which I was invited to by my neighbor Sheri at their church. (The Chapel, Canton, OH)

 (l-r ... Christine, Christy & Sheri)

I am so blessed to call these ladies my friends!!

I was fortunate enough to attend this function with Sheri last year and happy to report 2 other neighbor ladies were able to come along this year ... what a beautiful time we had! The table decorations were gorgeous, the speaker was inspiring and just having a few hours with these ladies was absolutely WONDERFUL ... we don't take that kind of time together nearly enough!

NOW AS FOR MY CARDS . . .
I was commissioned recently to make a couple wedding cards for a lady who is a regular card customer of mine.  She didn't give me much direction other than ... girly with pearls, glitter ... that sort of thing!  So here's what I've come up with.

For my first card I figured you can't go wrong with Black & White ... always so elegant!  I've used a Cuttlebug 'swirls' embossing folder for the background.
The dies I've used are Memory Box 'Heart Ensemble #98479', Memory Box 'Twirled Heart Border #98279', and Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fanciful Flourish Small B117S'.
For the added sparkle, I've used Stickles 'Diamond'.  It's a beautiful clear sparkle on the white leaves and on the white part of the heart ... but on the black part of the hearts it came out gold ... REALLY PRETTY IRL!
My sentiment comes from an American Crafts wedding stamp set.

For my second card (and my personal favorite!),  I first die cut white card stock using the Spellbinder 'Fancy Lattice' S5-152 die for my background.  I glued it down around the outer edges leaving the rest of the die 'open' so I could weave/tie 'love knots' along the bottom edge and add pearls in between.
My handmade flower was created using the Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur PreCut Stamp Set (HCPC3533) and coordinating die (HCD 734).  I first stamped my flowers using white ink the heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  A little shaping with my flower making kit and a large pearl in the center made for a beautiful white flower!
BUT ...
I thought it needed a little added sparkle so I sprayed the whole flower (pearl & all) with E6000 spray adhesive and sprinkled Art Deco Glamour Dust all over it.  Looks GORGEOUS IRL!!!
The added swirl is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs - Fanciful Flourish (B117).
Here's a close up ...

OKAY ... since I'm in a SHARING MOOD!
Want to see the outside decorating hubby & I did last week while the weather was still 'warm'(50's) ... today it's 26 [feel like temp of 17] and more snow is expected.
Welcome to Ohio!  LOL!

 (Day Time)

(Night Time)

Of course I'll have to go out and take a couple new photos since there is snow on the ground and I've added a spotlight that shines on the front door.  I'll share that when I get time to take them.

Well, Steeler game is about to start and I have a tree to decorate!
Yikes ... I'd better get back to work!
Play time is over!

HAVE A FABULOUS DAY and thanks for stopping by!
As always . . .

  5. Your Christmas decorating looks great! I don't do as much as I used to since my kids have grown. I love your cards - I think you filled the bill on the things she asked for. They are both so beautiful!
