Double D - Frames

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Here's today's theme:

FRAMES

and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .

I was in the need of some masculine cards so that's the direction I took for today's card.

For my background, I simply sponged some TH distress oxide ink onto my white card base.  My image is from a sheet of images from the TooMuchFun Rubberstamps company.

For my frame I have used the largest die in the Paper Rose 'Stitched Rectangle Frames' (#16679) die set.  It was a bit too long so had to do some 'improving' and where it's 'reconnected', I simply die cut and added a few Impression Obsession clouds.

Sssshhh no one will ever know!!!

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!

  As always . . .

  1. What a great man card! So very clever of you to snip apart the frame to make it smaller and then hide the evidence. Perfectly done my friend!

  2. Love the soft inking for your background sky complete with clouds. And what a great image. Not sure if you know those two guys, but I think the one on the left is Judy's husband lol Great masculine card!

  3. A great masculine card and a great way to make the frame fit by using the clouds for 'coverage', and I won't tell LOL!!

  5. Nope, no one will ever know. It looks fabulous! I never think to do this, but it works so beautifully. Love me a great outdoors theme. I have photos like this of Rich and one of his buddies fishing on a very similar lake.

  8. You are going to laugh Darlene, but when I saw this card I thought of Judy's husband Rob sitting there in the boat. I love how you framed it and then put the clouds outside of the frame great idea.
