Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Sewing

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

Sewing

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on your projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today ...

I really reached 'back in time' for the embossing folder I used today!
I've probably had these narrow folders in my stash for close to 20 years and rarely use them but when I saw our theme was sewing, I remembered I had this particular folder and went 'in search of' to use it for today's card.

I decided to use it to create a FRAME for my  49 and Market 'Vintage Orchard' rub on image.  I also did some faux hand stitching

I think this made a really nice note card for my stash!

  1. Wow, so great! This embossing folder really makes a beautiful frame. It looks so lovely and fits the "sewing" theme perfectly. I'm absolutely thrilled. And your picture is gorgeous too. The fruit looks so delicious, and the little bees are really so busy. Great colours and truly enchanting.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card in the current Everybody Art Challenge.

  2. Fantastic card! I love the stitch EF. It worked great for the framework of this image. The fruit rub on is beautiful. Looks likes a piece of art you would hang on a wall.

  3. I had to laugh at your stitching folder, Darlene. I have that same one and a few others from Cuttlebug. I don't know when I used them last but now that you've reminded me I'll try to use them. Your faux stitching is so well done and accents the image beautifully. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
