Artsystamper *NEW* Challenge Blog

Hello my friends!
I have some exciting news today!
There is a *NEW* Challenge Blog for Artsystamper Digitals by Beverly Cole
and the fun starts TODAY!

The 1st and 3rd Monday of each month brings another Artsystamper Challenge
and today's theme is

AUTUMN COLORS

You need not use Beverly's beautiful digitals to enter our challenge but the design teams projects will be showcasing her amazing work and I hope you'll be inspired to pop over to her Etsy shop and grab a few beauties for yourself!

I chose to use a couple different sets today.

First of all, from the 'Autumn's Gifts Stamp Set', I have used the precolored leaves to create my background paper for this fun Fall Gift Bag.  I have created my paper using Word10 and the .png precolored images.

I have a confession to make about the 'card' that is showcased on the front!
YEP ... it was originally the starts of an A6 CARD ... but then after I got rolling on the bag I thought that would be the perfect focus for the front of it.  So, I cut the card to make just a single panel and VIOLA!  Perfect focus for my gift bag!

To create the card I have used images from the 'Fruit Stand Stamp Set'.  The background is the 'sign' panel ... just expanded in size to create my entire background.  I have done some fussy cutting and popping up to add dimension.

The winner of our challenges will receive the stamp set of their choice from TheArtsystamperShop.  Beverly Cole's selections offer stamps and sentiments in each set as well as pre-colored images for easy, last minute cards.  Why not take a moment and check out what she has in the store!!

I hope you will hop on over to the Artsystamper Digitals Challenge Blog and enter!
You will also see more inspiring designs from the Artsystamper Addicts DT ... so much fun!!

Tutti Designs - Faith

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I have a card to share for the upcoming holiday season using some old AND new dies

I have used one of the latest release dies for the focus of my card
TUTTI-580 Forest Friends Nativity
I've first die cut from white card stock and added a little color just to the trees & birds.

I noticed the small pieces (bunny, stars) that were still stuck to my cutting board
and thought they would be just the small accents I needed for my card design.  (please excuse my cutting board ... it is VERY well loved!  lol)

After my coloring I adhered my die cut to a panel of gold foil paper which I then matted with another panel of white card stock.  I then added my Tutti Designs 'Faith' sentiment (using the smaller of the two) and Viola!

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Tutti Designs - Bauble Swag

Hello Dear Friends!
I'm back again today, stepping in for DT member Jenn who is under
the weather and needed a little assistance.
I've created another Christmas creation using some old AND new dies
from the Tutti Design Store.  Time is flying by so there's no time like
the present to get those holiday cards started!

I had taken photos along the way to share with you
in how I created this card but in my haste to get them uploaded
and posted, I somehow lost them in cyberspace.  Sorry!!

I have used the Bauble Swag die as my focus image.

TUTTI-588 Bauble Swag

After die cutting from white cardstock, red foil paper and
green glitter paper ... I did a bit of fussy cutting and came
up with this beautiful ornament!

I've created the frame using the Tutti Designs
Dotted Nesting Rectangles and die cut a pretty Christmas plaid.
Then matted the frame onto Hunter green card stock and used a smaller
die from the same set to cut out the middle leaving an inner matting.

Tutti Designs - Dotted Nesting Rectangles

The ornament and the sentiment have been popped up
with dimensional tape.  You could use what ever sentiment
worked best for you.

Recipe:
Dies:  Paper Rose 'Merry Christmas'
Papers:  Red Foil, Green Glitter, White card stock, Carta Bella 'Christmas Market' 6x6 double sided designer paper
Other:  Red Stickles

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Double D - Orange & White ... that's All!

Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Diane is hosting today and as you can see by my blog title ... the theme is:

Orange & White ... THAT'S ALL!

Here is the fabulous mood board she has created to help inspire you . . .

Here's what I came up with (the 2nd time around that is ... lol):

Obviously, I was inspired by the polka dot buttons and the
texture on the orange bottles.  In case you can't see
what I'm talking about here's a close up of the flower vase ...

The items I've used on today's card are:

Echo Park 'Dots & Stripes' 6x6 paper pack

Sue Wilson Designs - Finishing Touches Collection - Hobnail Vase

Sue Wilson Designs - Finishing Touches Collection - Dandelion Posies

TUTTI-243 Word Set - Celebrate

I have a confession to make . . .

As I stated earlier, the card above was my 2nd time around ...
Unfortunately like so many others, I got in a hurry and didn't read the entire theme ...
you know the part where it says Orange and White ... THAT'S ALL!
So my first card looked like this:
Now mind you, it is a pretty card and it is now in my sale box for my upcoming Fall Shows but doesn't fit the theme since I used green ivy & leaves.  Hence this card which DOES fit the theme ...

Challenges to share in:
Crafting Happiness Challenge #16 - Orange

Diane has this fabulous Cottage Cutz  die up as the
prize to one lucky random winner.  Remember ... you gotta play to win!

So, come play along using our theme and YOU might be that random winner!!

Exciting News & a Fun Challenge Project

Hello my friends!
I have some exciting news to share with you today!
I've been asked by the Mix It Up Challenge Blog to join their team
and I couldn't be more excited!   Thanks Leslie and team!  This is a monthly Anything Goes challenge with some awesome fun TWISTS to inspire your creativity!!  The twist is NOT required to play along but you might find some add fun if you give them a try!  Up to you!

The October challenge is:

Anything Goes + Open Technique
(Use any technique you'd like and it would be fun
if you shared what technique you used with us!)

 Here's the project I'm sharing to inspire you today . . .

I love making tissue box covers (you can find my instructions below my header in the TUTORIALS file).  I didn't add any additional embellishments to the box because some ladies think they get in the way of the tissues popping up or are (as one lady put it) just another dodad to collect dust!  LOL  So I simply added a few Liquid Pearl Dots around the lid opening (as you can see a little better in the photo below) and stopped there.

To decorate my bag (purchased at Hobby Lobby), I used 2 sheets of 12x12 decorative paper also from Hobby Lobby.  I discovered by cutting my designer paper 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 for the front & back of my bag, that leaves me with just enough to decorate a tissue box cover (LOVE when that happens! lol).

I've used an A6 card front to create the sentiment on the front of the bag.
By using a few dies from my collection, this bag came together quickly.  I will probably add
some ribbons to the bag handle before using (or selling) this sweet gift set.

I'm so inspired by the rest of our amazing DT
and I can't wait to be inspired by YOUR project!

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Time

Hello Everyone!
It's a new month and that means the start of a new monthly challenge

I have grown quite fond of creating a scene ...
LOL no, not as in being a miserable neighbor or anything like that,
but on my cards.  It's really quite fun!!

This card was created from dies & torn paper.
The dies I've used are . . .
Memory Box Evergreen Trio (which I've die cut 3 times and glued together)
Cheery Lynn Designs - Santa's Sleigh & Reindeer
Memory Box - Dies - Cascade Evergreen Frame
Frantic Stamper - Dies - Elf

I have torn scraps of white card stock to create the snow on the ground
in which to 'anchor' my trees.  And, as you can see, this precious
little elf guy decided to decorate one of the trees.   I think he did a good job too!
I hope you've enjoyed today's Christmas card and I can't wait to see what
you create and share over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing you a fabulous week ahead!
As always ...
