It's MIDNIGHT MADNESS time again!!! What a cool sketch this week to work with! Have you checked out Priscilla's Blog yet ... HERE's a link or you can use the blinkie in my sidebar. Look's like fun, huh!!!
Priscilla always has the most unique sketches to play with and her DT creates some awesome cards!!! Please ... check them out when you get the chance ... you won't be disappointed!!
This is what I came up with today! What do you think?? Isn't this little girl SWEET!!! I downloaded this image from the Art Creations Friday Blog ... be sure to check this site out also, especially if you love vintage as I do!! Every Friday she offers downloads of pictures or backgrounds from which you can create an ATC or card and link it back to her blog. Some very unique images & creations ... you don't want to miss this one either!!
Back to my card ..........
This sweet image was cut into a 2-1/2" square and the purely pomegranate matting was cut into a 2-3/4" square. I've used the Mary Engelbreit Rose corner punch and double matted with basic black cs. Very little use of stamps & inks on this creation!! The only stamps used where 2 different silouette images, one from Just for Fun and the other from Endless Creations. They were stamped on a piece of Whisper White using Versafine Black for another card but I ended up doing something different so this "piece of scrap" was left laying on the worktable. Since I accidently cut through it while playing with my new Spellbinder (Timeless Heritage)Shapabilities .... it ended up being a perfect HEART LOCK for today's card (see closeup).
The papers used on this card are: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Purely Pomegranate and several different Graphic 45 pieces. (LOVE Graphic45 papers!!)
Embellishments used were: Mary Engelbreit Rose corner punch, Martha Stewart branch punch, Prima flowers, Target gem brad, Spellbinder (timeless heritage) Shapeabilities, Nestabilities (circle & scallop circle) diecuts, Mark Richards gold ball gem, and the flower gems I've had forever and don't remember who makes them (sorry)!
I NEED A FAVOR FROM YOU ALL .... sometimes I think I go into way too much detail and "talk too much". Please let me know what you think. Seriously ... am I talking way too much (I have a tendency to go on, and on, and on .... see what I mean!!! Do I need to shorten my wording on my posts ???? I'm afraid I'll lose followers because I don't know when to quit .... I would love to have your input on this topic!! THANKS and thanks for stopping by today!!!
Hi Darlene, first let me say once again, you know I am a big fan of your work :) You do lovely work and this week is not exception. Thank you for playing. Now, in my opinion, NO you do not babble LOL I think the more information the better. I have the reverse problem when posting my card..I just run out of time and would rather be creating that typing, although lately it seems like I have been in my computer chair a lot more than my craft chair LOL. People get really good at speed/sim reading so don't worry your pretty little head over it :) We love hearing what you have to say..Ok..I must end now. Look at how I just keep going on and on and on..see it is so easy to do..humm I am forgetting to say something..la de da..la de da..ok are you I think I am done..really..I will stop now...LOL JUST TOYING WITH EVERYONE. Have a great day :)
ReplyDeleteYour post is just fine, and your card is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for playing with us. Please play again.

First, your card is gorgeous! The special details are amazing! I will have to check out the blog you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I don't think you talk too much at all. Sometimes I read it all, sometimes I don't. I do the same thing on my blog. Sometimes I go on, sometimes I don't. I just know people will read if they are interested, or have the time!
I love all the elements on your card and it all comes together beautifully!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Dar! Love the vintage look of it and I downloaded that picture of the little girl too! She looks so sweet!
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary - I like reading longer posts about how the creations are made. I know I have the tendency to do shortcuts, and sometimes after wards I wish I had documented my endeavors a little more precisely!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 cents.

Gorgeous card!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! great image!!
ReplyDeleteHey Dar! Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm starting to not hear a "meow" every time I turn around. So ... about your posts, keep up the type-talk! My name spelled backwards is YAK ... does that tell ya anything?! LOL I love your work and I love reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteCute Card, love the image and all the detail. And no you do not go on too long. You're very personable - I am the opposite - get to the point and move on - the result is not very personable, but I'm working on it! Thanks for the site I love their images. Take Care
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!

Beautiful card. I love the image and locket. And no, you don't talk too much. Thats how we get to know each other better. Frankly, I don't like blogs that are 'personal' and are strictly factual.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Darlene! The heart lock compliments it so well. Keep playing for the grand prize :) Jeni, MMDT
ReplyDeleteAnother STUNNING card! Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Hope to see you next week!
