Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #138

Another month has past (so quickly) and here we are on MAY 1st already!

The beginning of a new month means the start of a new challenge at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges! Here are the sketches we have for you to play with this month:

Remember, these challenges now last the whole month so you have lots of time to submit your creations. You are welcome to submit up to four projects using the sketches provided as a guide. We may add some fun twists with themes too. The themes are merely for inspirations and not required to play our sketch challenges. We will continue to award the Gold Star and Remarkable awards each month as well as a prize each month. We hope you will have fun working with our sketches and will be inspired by the fabulous Midnight Madness Design Teams Work. This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between.

This month's TWIST is to use at least ONE BUTTON on your creation!

Here is what I've created to hopefully inspire you to come join in the fun!

My lovely flower was created using Elizabeth Crafts Glitter Peels & Micro Fine Glitter.

I learned the technique during the last workshop at Joan's Gardens.

Recipe for this card:

Papers:  Black cs, White cs, Groovy Guava cs, Echo Park 'Victoria Gardens' dp, DCWV dp scraps

Inks:  Color Box Rose Coral

Accessories:  Spellbinder Beaded Ovals, Bucket 'o Buttons coral buttons, MS butterfly punch, sponge applicator, round tip black marker, pop dots

Hope to see you at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!

Have a wonderful day!

Darlene

“Digistamps 4 Joy was born in July 2010. What began as a “brainwave” developed into a rather successful journey…  Started by Mel M, and with the help of talented artists and fellow South Africans JenLee, Margy, Sam, Laura and Mel herself, Digistamps 4 Joy was soon reaching an international audience.  Digistamps was a rather unheard of and new craft to many South Africans with most only having access to them if they had a credit card.  Mel and Jen started brainstorming and soon came up with the idea of starting an online store entirely accessible to all South Africans.  Mel having the experience in web and graphic design, and Jen being a wonderful illustrator work together as a team and produce most of the images many people around the world have come to know and love.  Among the many images, you’re sure to find something you like… from fun and whimsical to cute and funny right through to serious and beautiful. Every month a new freebie is available on the website.”

The winner will get her choice of 6 images from the store

This week I went with a vintage image for my creation.  I have used scraps of holiday paper that were laying on my table for this creation ... along with Prima flowers and greenery created from the Martha Stewart branch punch.  SU watercolor pencils and blender pen were used to color my image and gold Stickles was used for my corner embellishments.

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK ... that means Christmas is right around the corner!  YIPES!!  Guess I'd better get busy!  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by today!

AND,

Here is my creation for the "priscillastyles" design team using one of Priscilla's latest digi images called

"Catching Snowflakes"

The background paper for this creation is the Paper Studio and the snowflakes have been punched from scrap snowflake papers using the Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  Diamond Stickles adorns the centers of each snowflake as well as the snowflakes on the image.  Prismacolor markers were used for my coloring and the satin ribbon is from Michaels.  I have also used the Martha Stewart icicle border punch and added diamond Stickles on the icicles.

Now it's your turn to create using this fabulous sketch!  I hope to see you at the MMSC and thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a good one!!

Hugs,

Darlene
