Hello my friends!
Well, now that I have that 400 candy box order DONE,
the 20 white on white holiday cards for a lady in NC DONE
and the last craft show of the year is behind me,
now I can concentrate on my own holiday cards of which I still
need at least 40. Yikes I'd best get busy! LOL
So, today I decided to join in one of the fun sketch challenges
out in blogland to get my mojo started.
Today's challenge of choice is the Feeling Sketchy Challenge.
Here is their sketch to follow . . .
I love a good sketch and this one helped
me to use up some of the very old Graphic45 Christmas
papers I've had sitting around.
The sentiment panel is also from that same 12x12 paper pack.
Since it had a narrow bordering, I decided to get out
my Gold Pilot Marker and give my background panel a narrow
border also. Love doing that! Looks like
a matting layer without the extra weight.
I've used one of the dies from the Sue Wilson 'Poinsettia Flourish & Corner' die set
as the accent between the two lower panels.
A touch of red Stickles on the holly berries added just a
little touch of sparkle that every holiday card deserves. LOL
Here's another angle ...
Hope you're having a wonderful day!
As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!
Great interpretation of the sketch!

Love the sketch and beautiful card!!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful my friend. Another gorgeous creation! Can you believe today we have thunderstorms in the forecast. It just seems a bit warm for November!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and a great take on the sketch...love your 'photo shoot' as well! Yep, bet you are glad to have all that behind you and can somewhat relax on your card making, though I know with your 'party' ahead of you, you will still be busy busy!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of commissioned work. Good for you. Lovely card and I think I have one piece of that pretty paper somewhere. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty Christmas card - love that beautiful image paired with the red and gold!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, a beautiful start on those 40 Christmas cards. I know you can do it! It's a good feeling to have all that other behind you, isn't it? I don't feel so bad now that I only have about 25 more cards to make. Still a daunting task. Good luck with yours!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fabulous design and perfect Christmas design. And, just thinking about those 400 candy boxes just makes me tired. You truly are an amazing lady to do that many besides all the other things you do.
ReplyDeleteLove the papers and the image, has a vintage feel and your die cut is just perfect with it, good to hear you got everything done you needed to!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you can use up some supplies that you have had around for a while. This background paper is just perfect and looks great on your card.
ReplyDeleteLovely, traditional and festive. Just the way I love Christmas cards :-) Well done my friend!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lena
