Neighborhood Holiday Party 2018

Hello All!

WOW!
What a fabulous holiday gathering with had with friends and neighbors last Sunday afternoon/evening!  The weather cooperated so our family and friends from Michigan & Pennsylvania had no problem with the traveling (always a worry to me!).

Here are a few photos I got along the way ...

(Mark & I with our dear friends from Michigan ... the Beelmans)

(Mark & I with my sister Linda and her guy Roger)

We had people in every room catching up on a years worth of living and chowin' down on all this wonderful food.  My husband Mark ALWAYS makes the best food for our guests and tries to have something 'new' each year  This year was the Sausage & Cheese Bites w/Hot Pepper Jelly ... so yummy.

The rest of the menu consisted of:

Pirogies w/ fried onions
Various Sausages w/ fried peppers

Buffalo Chicken Dip
Bar-B-Q Meatballs & Smokies
Sausage & Cheese Bites w/Hot Pepper Jelly
Orzo Salad (last years new addition)
Mark's Mushroom Salad
Shrimp Cocktail
Relish Tray
Meat & Cheese Tray
Fresh Fruit Salad
Chips & my homemade Beau Monde Dill Dip
Hummus & Pita Bread (thanks to neighbor Hala)
Pepperoni Roll & Marinara Sauce (thanks to friend Lona)

and of course various beverages.

Anyone who knows my husband, knows he is a 'kid at heart'.
Check out a couple 'new toys' he received this year ...

From our neighbors, The Adkins, he received this
awesome Grinch holiday decoration for outdoors.
There are a few other 'Grinch' that are already decorating the indoors!  LOL

And from my sister Linda, here is Mr. Moose!
Mr. Moose 'expands' to make him tall (as you see in the photo) but when Mark opened him, he was 'compressed'.  My sister was trying to tell Mark to 'pull up on him' to make him taller and Mark nearly pulled his head off before realizing what she was trying to tell him!  LOL  We all had a good laugh over that one!!

We were missing a few family & friends this year but hopefully they will be back with us again for next years party.

We are SO BLESSED to have all of these wonderful people in our lives!
Can't wait to get together again!
Maybe when the weather is better and we can fire up the grill!  LOL

Thanks for the visit!

  3. Oh, I love seeing all these pictures, Darlene! Your home is beautifully decorated and festive, and your hubby puts on quite a spread. Good thing he likes to cook! He and I have something in common in that we're both kids at heart. Crazy busy here! We had a holiday get together Thursday night, so I cleaned all that day, plus grocery shopped and went back and forth for Rich having a medical procedure. He slept all day after I brought him home, but was all rested up for the evening. Too bad everything can't be on hold for the holidays!
