Can You Dig It Challenge #12

Welcome to TUESDAY and 

another fabulous challenge at CAN YOU DIG IT!

Today's challenge theme is 

WHERE'S THE COLOR?

I found inspiration from this photo that Michelle offered to us from Pinterest.

I chose to use the adorable 'lampshade' digi image available at the CYDI Store.  You'll want to be sure and pop on over and check out all the cute images ready for you to purchase and create with!  So, without further ado ... here's my creation . . .

The background dp is from GinaK and I have generated my own sentiment on the computer using Word software.  Coloring was done with Prismacolor markers and Joann's Whisper Strokes markers.  My flourish is a Cheery Lynn Designs (B147) Olive Branches die and I've added a touch of sparkle to them with gold Stickles.  The corner flower is from Prima and the gold center is a Stampendous Diamond Dot.

Can You Dig It Challenge #11

WOW!  Where does the weekend go?

It's a new week and that means CAN YOU DIG IT challenge time!

Today's theme is:

BUTTON IT UP

Now I must admit ... buttons are one thing that I rarely use as embellishments!  I tend to shy away from the bulky embellishments because they require hand stamping at the post office which costs more ... but I had fun in making my creation for today and I will just have to deal with the post office requirements!!  

So, what do you think?

I am using 'Cultivating Cutie' from the CYDI store for today's creation and my sentiment is hand written!  The flower panel for my sentiment was cut from my button DCWV dp with the Tim Holtz floral die.  I rummaged through my 'Bucket o'Buttons' container and came up with the two red flower buttons that I used on her hat and the flower she's about to cultivate!  Coloring was done with SU watercolor pencils/blender pen as well as Prismacolor markers.

Can You Digi It Challenge

Hello fellow bloggers ... it's time for another fun challenge over at Can You Dig It and I'm pleased to once again be a Guest Designer for them.  With the Memorial Day Weekend upon us, we are inspired by the "LOVE OF COUNTRY".  Michelle shared several Pinterest images to inspire us in our creating for this challenge and this is what I've come up with.  Hope you like it.  Michelle also created the background designer paper I have used on my card ... isn't it fabulous!  

The photo of the Capital Building is a sticker from my scrapbooking stash and the sentiment was computer generated and double matted.  Stars were punched with a Creative Memories star punch and that's about it!  Pretty easy peasy but I think makes a statement!

Guest Designer Spot

Hello blogger friends! 

How much fun is it to run across an online friend from a past design team after loosing track of them for awhile!  That is exactly what I have done with Lelia (Green Goddess Creations).  AND ... I'm thrilled to say that she's asked me to be a Guest Designer on the Can You Dig It Challenge Blog.  

WHAT FUN!!

 I was a little slow getting started ... but have finally got it all figured out and today they have a new challenge posted and I'm excited to play along.  The challenge is a photo inspiration challenge ... called PAINTED MEMORIES.

This sign certainly takes you back in time and that was my inspiration

 for today's creation.
