Waiting for Springtime . . .

Hello once again my friends!
I have one more card to share with you today then I really MUST get busy cleaning this house and staying out of my cave!  Time goes by so fast in my cave!  LOL! (It's no wonder nothing else gets done around here! LOL)

Today I'm playing with a cute Sheri Baldy 'My Besties' image called MILLIE MAE.
And, the challenges I've created for today are the Besties Challenge (More than Two Folds) and the My Besties Aussie Challenge (Anything Goes with Butterflies).

A few weeks ago I was playing with 'fancy folds' for my cards and remembered using the Double Fold Pocket card instructions by friend Judy Rozema (Joy in a Jar).  So I thought this would be PERFECT for today's creation.  If you click on Judy's blog name above, she has a fabulous step by step tutorial for you.

I'm still practicing coloring with my alcohol markers.  Sometime I do good ... sometimes, not so much!  But hey, practice makes perfect ... right!
All products used on this card will be listed below my name at the end of this post.

A few additional challenges:
Artistic Inspiration #75 - Anything Goes using Ribbon
Card Mania #38 - Anything Goes
Lexi's Creations #108 - Fancy Folds

Pretty in Pink . . .

Good Evening Bloggers!

While dinner's in the oven and hubby's watching the game,
I thought I'd share a card with you I created earlier today!

This little cutie is called 'Odd Socks Sallie' (how darn cute is that) and she is a Sherri Baldy 'Bestie' digi image. I've colored her with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and did some fussy cutting with my trusty Fiskars swivel craft knife.  I chose to use my Cheery Lynn Designs step card die for this card so that 'Sallie' could be front & center!!
A full list of products used will be at the end of this posting.

ONE of my New Year Resolutions is to make more fancy fold cards.  I have the dies & technology ... now I just have to quite taking the easy way out and MAKE THEM!!  They certainly aren't difficult and they pack such a WOW! factor ... I think they'll be a nice addition to my card selections at the Fall Craft Shows.

A few additional challenges:
CMC Copic Challenge - Anything Goes (must use alcohol markers or colored pencils)
Besties Challenge #1 - Summer Fun
My Besties UK - Something New (flower & grass dies)
A Creative Romance - Something New (flower & grass dies)

Ooops there's the timer on the oven!
Dinner's Ready!

had some left over ham so I've used it instead.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Catching Up with 'Besties'

Happy Sunday Everyone!
It's almost time for the BIG GAME between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns!  BUT before heading to the TV, I wanted to share with you a creation I made for the 'Besties' Challenges.
I've had this image colored since before Christmas ... just didn't have the time to put it into card form.  BUT since I see there is still time to participate in two of the Besties Challenges ... today's the day!

Isn't he just the most handsome Santa!?!
And here I go again ... using up scraps!  Yep, it's nearly time to put all my Christmas stamps, papers & embellishments away for another year so I'm going through scraps that are still hanging around on my craft table.
I don't remember where the sentiment panel came from (sorry!) but it matched in with my paper which is BoBunny 'Father Christmas', so I used it.  The piece of green organza ribbon was a scrap piece left over from Hershey Bar pouches and I must admit I had to go 'In Search Of' for the jingle bells ... they look so cute!

Qualifying Challenges are:
My Besties UK Challenge - Jingle Bells
CMC Copic Challenge #83 - Holiday Theme
Di's Digi Challenge - Anything Christmas
Keep It Simple - Anything Goes

Well it's time for the big game ... catch you later!
GO STEELERS!

Thanks for stopping by and as always . . .

A Christmas Cutie . . .

Good Morning Everyone!

As you know, I'm busy, busy working on projects for upcoming Craft Shows but decided to take a break from that and play a couple of challenges.  I will share one with you now and hopefully another one with you later in the day!  I know ... two posts in one day ... but it can't be helped ... time is limited these days!  Eeeks!

This mornings card is for the fun BESTIES challenges.  The main Besties Challenge is to 'Use a background stamp AND a Besties image'.  But, with time being limited I used a snowflake embossing folder for my background.  PLUS ... the challenge over at My Besties Aussie Challenge is to use 'White on White + One other color'.  Luckily, I think I have satisfied both challenges with this creation.

Is she cute or what!!!!!

This Sherri Baldy 'My Bestie' image is called BUNNY GIRLS and is actually paired with another image but I cropped the other 'bunny' image out of the picture and dressed her up for Christmas.  Hope that's okay with Sherri!

Since the Aussie Challenge is White-on-White+one other color, I didn't add any green to her dress .. stuck strictly with red/white.  I've also POPPED her up and added a touch of sparkle around the brim of her hat as well as the buckles on her shoes and her waist sash.

Here's an even closer look incase you couldn't see the sparkle.

I just love fussy cutting these adorable images and creating a scene with them.  Whether it is a fairly simple creation as this one is ... or with lots and lots of layers and embellishments.  They are so darn cute they really POP off the page.

Want a peek at the inside?
I want to send this is a very good friend for Christmas.  She doesn't typically follow my blog so I think I'm safe in sharing!  Yikes ... at least I hope so!  LOL!  Otherwise ... SPOOLER ALERT!!

Well, let me see if I can find a few other challenges to play along in then I really must get back to my craft show projects.  WHERE does the time go???

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Christmas Thank You
My Besties Norge - Use a punch

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hope you have a FABULOUS day!
You'll know where I'll be! LOL!

As always ...

FAITH...

Morning All!

I'm trying to get things packed up and ready to get on the road headed to Indiana for a few fabulously fun crafting days with those five friends I mentioned in my last post but before I go, I wanted to share something I made quickly for the new challenge over at Paper Crafter's Corner and the Besties Challenge.

This week at PaperCrafter's Corner, there will be the chance to win THREE times since there are THREE different themes/inspiration pieces ... Magazine Cover, Music & Repurpose.

Here's what I came up with ...
I repurposed an old piece of fun foam from an old project.  Cut into a door hanging shape and covered it with pink cardstock, scraps of musical paper as well as Breast Cancer Awareness design paper left over from making tissue box covers.  The WORDS were cut from another scrap piece of BCA design paper.

My Besties images is called POLLY and she's dancing because she's encouraged someone to KEEP THE FAITH ... think PINK and God's angels will watch over her singing songs of joy!

I'll be back later with more details but now I must go!
I need to leave in an hour and like I said ... nothing is packed yet ... including this laptop!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

My Besties Challenge

Good Morning All!

This is going to be a very quick post as I have a busy day of stuffing jars with green tomatoes & onions (LOL ... canning Piccalilli) but I wanted to share my card for the My Besties UK Challenge before the deadline.

The challenge is a color challenge using  these colors (what fun) ...

Well, I just grabbed one of my cute Besties images ... this one's called MILLIE MAE ... and started coloring with these colors in mind.  Here's what I came up with:

What do you think?  Isn't she adorable?
I had some scraps of design paper laying on my desk so that's what I used to create my background.  My base panel is the reverse side of a Halloween sheet I printed using Crafty Secrets Halloween paper image files ... the burlap is paper from JoAnn Fabrics.  The verse is from Verve and the flowers are various companies.  Orange Stickles adorns the flower center as well as the flower centers on my Besties image.

A few other challenges:
2 Sisters Challenge - Fall Fun
Allsorts Challenge - Autumn Colors
CMC Copic Challenge #78 - Fall Colors
Di's Digi Designs - Show Off Your Coloring Skills
Challenges & Candies - Colors of Autumn
Crafts for Eternity Recipe Challenge - Color Challenge (Cinnamon)

Polkadoodles - Autumn
QKR Stampede - Fall Colors
Stampin with the Dragon - Yellow
Simply Create Too - Fall/Autumn

Hope you like my creation and now I'd better get moving!  Those jars aren't going to fill themselves!  LOL!  Happy Day to you all!

Taking a break from Craft Show crafting . . .

. . . and playing along in a couple of challenges.

Good Afternoon All!

Today I've stepped away from my craft show crafting to create a fun card for The Bestie Challenge which is WINGS and ANYTHING GOES (please include a Bestie). Well, after coloring/cutting my image, I took at peek at Paper Playful in hopes of finding a sketch I could base my card on.

Luckily, I found the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches that I thought might work well.  I did have to turn it on it's side and switch the embellishment to the other side.  But I think you can still see the 'sketch' in my creation.

So here it is ... what do you think?

Isn't she cute!  Her name is 'Old Socks Sallie' and I've used one of my favorite color combos ... pink/purple.  Sherri Baldy has some FABULOUS new 'winged' images available in her store but since I don't have any (yet) I had to improvise and add wings to little Miss Sallie!

Her wings are actually butterfly wings from the Cheery Lynn Designs (DL160) Large Lace Faerie Queen w/Angel Wing die set.

I turned this card into a little girls birthday card because this adorable image just reminded me of a little girl playing dress up and all little girls like flowers & butterflies

A few additional challenges:
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Favorite Technique or Color (color-pink/purple)
Creative Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
LEJ Designs - Things with Wings

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I guess I'd better get back to Craft Show crafting if I'm going to have enough goodies to sell.  PLUS, next week I'll be making my fall trip out to see my crafting friends at Joan's Gardens in Liberty (near South Bend) Indiana.  I'm so looking forward to seeing these ladies again!  We have such a good time together.

Till next time ...
and As Always ...

Something a little different . . .

Good Late Morning All!
Eeeks ... it's almost lunch time already!

I have something a little different to share with you this fine day!  I've recently discovered the adorable images called "My Besties" by Sherri Baldy and have been having fun coloring/creating and playing along in some of the challenges they have.  These images can be purchased through Scrapbook Stamp Society.

There are three challenge sites that I am aware of.
Here's a list and what the current challenge requires.

1.  Besties Challenge - Use Lavendar
2.  My Besties Aussie Challenge - Anything But A Card
3.  My Besties UK Challenge - Orange, Yellow, Brown

Today I'm joining in on 2 of the 3 challenges ... Use Lavendar and Anything But a Card.

I've had a few of these foam door hangers that I purchased at Michaels several years ago from their bargain bin ... hanging on my peg board just waiting for me to do 'something' with them.  Well, today's the day!  I thought this cutie called "LUV U" would make an adorable  door hanger for a little girls room and, I even have a little girl in mind to give it to.

Recipe:
Papers:  Doodlebug Designs 'Petite Prints'
Accessories:  Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, MS 'Monarch Butterfly' punch, Stickabilities letters, Studio18 Rhinestones

A few other challenges:
All Crafts Challenge - Anything Goes/Anything But A Card
Artistic Inspiration #60 - Anything Goes/Bright Colors
The Cheerful Stamp Pad #69 - I Love Your HAT!
The Crafty Bloggers Network September Challenge - Things with Wings
Digi Make Over Challenge - Anything Goes
Stamp with Fun - Decoration
Party Time Tuesday #139 - Anything Goes

I've kept it pretty simple.  I might add more 'fluff' before I give it to this little gal ... but, unfortunately I have a full schedule today and must admit I just don't the time right now!  Sorry!!

With that being said I'd better quit playing around and get busy!!

As always . . .

My Besties Challenge

Good Evening All!
It's nearly time for the Pittsburgh Steelers VS Cincinnati Bengals football game so I will keep this short!

If you follow my blog, you saw me post a cute purple card with an adorable image from the 'My Besties by Sherri Baldy' Wizard of Oz collection.  Well tonight I have yet another card created with an image from that collection.  This one is called 'Wicked Witch' and my creation is for the challenge at My Besties Norway which is Anything Goes.

Again I have reached into my scrap bin for my background papers and I believe they are from a 12x12 DCWV pack that I've had from years past.  I created the sentiment in PSE because I just didn't have anything that said what I wanted it to say!! The image was matted with hunter green cardstock after being colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Isn't she cute!  LOL!!
And, look at the expression on the dog's face ...priceless!

Other Challenges:
Ladybug Crafts - Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes (Twist: Happy Fall Y'all)
Besties Challenges - Anything Goes

Almost time for the game to begin ... I'd better get upstairs before I miss kick-off!
Thanks for stopping and as always . . .
