Sympathy Card Sets . . .

Hello Friends!
Today I have another project I'm working on for my Spring Show
with the Country Club ladies.  The other day I shared the Birthday sets I
created and today, I have sets of sympathy cards to share.

Here's a photo of the five different cards in each box ...

Once again, I have printed this photo off and placed one in the back of
each boxed set.  This way the ladies can see what is in each box
without being tempted to open and take them out.

Here are photos of the individual cards.

I went through and chose 12x12 paper from various paper packs
I have in my stash (I could make a thousand sets and never run out of paper ... geesh!)

The stamps I chose to use today are from The Stamp Pad Co., Verses Rubber Stamps,
and Paper Inspirations.  A simple 'With Deepest Sympathy' is on the inside of each card.

I always have requests for Sympathy Sets and I hope the ladies will like these.

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping in.

Make a Magical Wish . . .

Hello Friends!
Today I'm having a little fun and creating kids cards.
Awhile back I ordered a few Disney & Harry Potter dies from
the Dies R Us Store and so today I'm finally playing
with Harry Potter's 'Albus Dumbledore'.

This die set and a few of the other Disney die sets
come with the 'face' stamp ... how cool is that!  So life like!

I've used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for my coloring and it is
only NOW that I see what I thought was the inside of his
robe is actually his arm ... OOops!  Oh well ... next time I'll get it right!

I purchased this amazing background paper from Joann.com
and it's called 'Outer Space Kit' by Reminisce.  It's 12x12
and I plan on cutting and using it for more 'magical' creations
for the kiddos.

Though difficult to capture in the photo, I have added
Diamond Stickles to the larger 'stars' in the background
paper as well as the stars in the die cut.

The sentiment dies are by Tutti Designs and can be
also found at the Dies R Us Store.

Birthday Card Sets

Hello Friends!
Today I have another project I'm working on for my Spring Show
with the Country Club ladies.  I thought I'd make up a few boxed sets
of ALL Birthday themed cards.  I already have the variety sets
made and still want to make full sets for Sympathy and Thank You.
But today it's all about Birthdays!

Here's a photo of the five different cards in each box ...

I have printed this photo off and placed one in the back of
each boxed set.  This way the ladies can see what is in each box
without being tempted to open and take them out.
I've chosen to put the verse on the front of the cards so the inside
can simply say Happy Birthday.

Here are photos of the individual cards.
I did a bit of 'digging into the stash' and used some stamps
that haven't seen the light of day in years!  I'm sure some of you
will recognize those I'm referring to!  LOL

Papers:  White cs
Stamps: Tim Holtz 'Crazy Dogs', My Sentiments Exactly, Stampscapes (birds)
Accessories: Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Broken China & Peeled Paint),Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Tim Holtz 'Crazy Dogs' dies, large sponge daubers

Papers:   White cs, Bright Pink cs, ScrapBerry's 'Cherished Jewels'
Stamps:  Hero Arts

Papers:   White cs, Watercolor paper, ScrapBerry's 'Cherished Jewels'
Stamps:  Stampin Up 'Elegant Greetings', Altnew 'Adore You'
Tim Holtz Oxide Distress Inks

Papers:   White cs
Stamps:  Stampendous 'Friendly Phrases', Stampin' Up 'Toile Blossoms'
Accessories:  Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, Fine tip black marker for faux stitching

Papers:   White cs
Stamps:  Stampendous 'Friendly Phrases', Impression Obsession 'Dogwood 3'
Accessories:  Spectrum Noir alcohol markers

I'm very pleased with the outcome of these sets and I think
the ladies will like them too.  I hope you've enjoyed today's share!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping in.

Double D - The Skies are Gray!

Hello Friends!
It's time for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Team Diane is hosting today and the theme is:
The Skies are Gray!
(Be inspired by our Mood Board)

Here's the mood board Diane has created to help you get started . .

I was inspired by the color of course, as well as the cups with the hearts on them.
I was looking through my stash for some gray gingham paper but to no avail ... sigh!
So here's what I've come up with . . .

This pretty DCWV Basics background paper looks more toward brown in my photo but
trust me ... it is gray (as are the flowers) ... sometimes my camera has a mind of it's own!

I've had this fabulous Penny Black 'What's in your cup?' die set for awhile now
and finally had the opportunity to use it.
Penny Black - Dies - What's In Your Cup
I've popped up the cup using dimensional tape.  I also die cut the
'steam' twice and adhered them together for more dimension.

The sentiment is computer generated and I've used the
fabulous Sue Wilson 'stitched flags' to die cut the banner.
I love this die set ... I use it all the time!!

Here's one more peek at my finished card . . .

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun!
Check out the fabulous prize Diane has up for grabs to one lucky random draw winner.

But, you need to play to win!!
 Hope to see you there!

Special . . .

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I'm joining in the sketch fun over at the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge blog.

Here is the sketch I was working from ...

You know when you have too many things laying around
on your craft table when you can construct an entire
card without much thought or work!  As I have with this creation.

The pink card stock used for my background was in my scrap box,
I simply cut it to fit the card base and embossed it using this beautiful
Anna Griffin Roses embossing folder.

The image is from a sheet I purchased at an online Etsy shoppe
and even though I know the name of the sheet (Tea Flower), I'm sorry
to say I don't recall whose Etsy shoppe I found it in.

The pretty pink butterflies were in my stash and I know
they came from the Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Butterfly punch and the
'Special' die is by Tutti Designs.  Nuvo white crystal drops were
used on and around the butterflies which added another
textural element.

I'm quite pleased with the outcome and  want to thank CAS(E) this sketch for
the fun challenge.

I'm ready for Spring . . .

Hello My Friends!
Today I've created a fun card using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for their current challenge and an image (freebie) from Sparkle and Sprinkle which I plan on entering into their March FB Challenge.  Isn't this little guy adorable?  A few years ago hubby & I made and hung several bird houses in our wooded area.  I love seeing them being occupied each spring with new families of birds.

Here's the sketch I followed ...

After printing out this adorable digi image, I colored him with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers then did a bit of fussy cutting with my Fiskars swivel craft knife.  I try to fussy cut with scissors but seem to do better with the swivel knife.  Different strokes for different folks I guess ... lol.

I have once again jumped into my new Doodlebug 'Dragon Tails' designer paper which was purchased from the Dies R Us Store.   So Cute!   Have you noticed that they aren't JUST dies anymore?  They now offer paper packs (6x6 & 12x12), inks, Stickles, Nuvo, Tim Holtz etc. etc.  Check 'em out!!

Doodlebug - Paper Pad - 6

I have used card stock scraps for my ovals and rectangle panels and popped my image up using Scotch Dimensional Tape.  A scrap of Really Reasonable Ribbon (actually holiday - snowflakes on the other side) and my card is ready to go!

I am having such a great time joining in some of the fun challenges offered out there in blogland the past few days.  I enjoy a sketch and have come to enjoy the tic tac toe options also.  When my mojo is lacking, I typically turn to the challenges to get it going again!

Just a quick share ...
We actually saw an Eastern Blue Bird (like the one in the photo) on our deck railing last week.  That's not a bird we see often here in the suburbs ... so it was exciting to see him up close and personal right outside my kitchen window.  He didn't stay long and I hope he comes back ... time will tell.

How About another game of Tic Tac Toe?

WOW the beginning of another week already!
Hello friends and welcome back to my blog ... so happy you have stopped for a visit!

Today I'm sharing a pretty card for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
Here's the board to select from ...

I chose the bottom row ...
Floral ... Fancy Fold ... Texture

Floral - my pretty papers from the 6x6 paper pack I purchased at
Joann.com called ScrapBerry's 'Summer Joy'.

Fancy Fold -  A6    Z-fold

Texture -  the pink chenille stem formed into a flower with
pink/white bakers twine.

The Tutti Designs 'Stitched Nesting Heart' was a scrap from another project, as were the pretty pink butterflies which had been punched from pink card stock using the Martha Stewart '3-in-1' butterfly punch.

Let's Play Tic Tac Toe

Happy Weekend All!
Today I have a pretty card created for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge
over on the Paper Craft  Crew Blog.  Here's a peek at the board . . .

I went with Emboss ... Elements of Springtime ... Birthday

This was fun and gave me the opportunity to use a few new products I
had sitting on my work station.  First is the new Sue Wilson die set
called 'Frames & Tags - Poppy' from the Dies R Us Store and
the other is a beautiful 6x6 paper pack I purchased from Joann.com
called ScrapBerry's 'Summer Joy'.

I've used an old Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder for my mint
green background and prima flowers with Nuvo yellow crystal drop
centers as embellishment.

I also used some scrap card stock for the center oval cuts.  I love
when I can use up some of my scraps!

I need a large inventory of birthday cards for my upcoming
spring show with the country club ladies so this card
will go in the sale box as soon as I finish the inside sentiment.

Hang on to your ice cream . . .

Happy Friday Friends!
Today I'm playing along in a sketch challenge that is just about to
end (noon today PST).  Yikes!  I'd better hurry!

The sketch challenge I'm referring to is at The Paper Players.
Here's the sketch . . .

I was just in the middle of coloring this adorable digi offered as a freebie from Sparkle & Sprinkle.  I will share this card in their March FB Challenge as well.  I thought it would be a good focus image for my card and I made it into a boy's birthday card.  Doesn't this look like something that would happen to a little boy?  LOL
Boy SAD ... Dog HAPPY!

I took the liberty of adding sentiment flags and a balloon to complete my birthday theme using the Poppystamps 'Classic Ribbons', Tutti Designs 'Happy' and 'Birthday' and the Impression Obsession 'Balloons'.

I've colored my image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, die cut using Tutti Designs 'Cross Stitched Nesting Rectangles' and the background designer paper is Doodlebug 'Dragon Tails'.

What fun I'm having today!

Dies R Us Challenge Time - Pastels

Hello All...
Well here we are at the start of another month and of course
that means it's time for a new challenge
at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.

And, the theme is:

PASTELS

I don't have very many baby cards left in my show stash
so that's the direction I went in for today's creation.

 Dies used are:

Sue Wilson New Arrival
Sue Wilson Designs - Shadow Boxes - New Arrival
 Sue Wilson It's A Girl
Sue Wilson Designs - New Arrival Collection - It's A Girl
Memory Box Classic Uppercase Alphabet
Memory Box - Dies - Classic Upper Alphabet

I'm trying to use up some of my OLD papers, so the background pink paper
is from an old DCWV Mat Stack.  The background paper behind the
'new arrival' die is also very old ... BasicGrey I think.

A touch of Really Reasonable Ribbon is my only embellishment.
