Double D - The Skies are Gray!

Hello Friends!
It's time for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!

Team Diane is hosting today and the theme is:
The Skies are Gray!
(Be inspired by our Mood Board)

Here's the mood board Diane has created to help you get started . .

I was inspired by the color of course, as well as the cups with the hearts on them.
I was looking through my stash for some gray gingham paper but to no avail ... sigh!
So here's what I've come up with . . .

This pretty DCWV Basics background paper looks more toward brown in my photo but
trust me ... it is gray (as are the flowers) ... sometimes my camera has a mind of it's own!

I've had this fabulous Penny Black 'What's in your cup?' die set for awhile now
and finally had the opportunity to use it.
Penny Black - Dies - What's In Your Cup
I've popped up the cup using dimensional tape.  I also die cut the
'steam' twice and adhered them together for more dimension.

The sentiment is computer generated and I've used the
fabulous Sue Wilson 'stitched flags' to die cut the banner.
I love this die set ... I use it all the time!!

Here's one more peek at my finished card . . .

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun!
Check out the fabulous prize Diane has up for grabs to one lucky random draw winner.

But, you need to play to win!!
 Hope to see you there!

Darlene, this is another very pretty card. I don't know where you come up with all the designs you use but each and every card is totally different. I love the Sue Wilson Dies...She makes some of my favorites! Hope the rest of your week is a good one!

Very classy card! Love the design and the papers!

The sentiment is so true. We find that a cup shared with a friend is just the most comforting activity, next to making a card. Lol
Love the simple design and how you made the cup the center.

Ack, that's cute with the tea bag hanging out of the cup! A detail I somehow didn't notice before, silly me. Love these patterns and I know it's lovely in the soft gray, darn camera. I made a gray card, but then realized there wasn't a shred of the inspiration board in it, sigh. Sometimes I forget about that. You did great! Seriously, look at that mug!

What a perfect way to use that Penny Black die set, Darlene. I love it! The teacup, the steam rising, that tag for the teabag, all combine beautifully. Love the various designs of paper you've used for your backgrounds. The little neutral coloured flowers are the perfect embellishment. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

A gorgeous card and a great way to use that coffee cup die. I love all the pattern papers you used on it too. And, I hate when the photos don't capture the true colors.

I love the "steam" in for the cup of tea. You just don't see great steam for the most part. I loved the design and sentiment. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas.
