Hang on to your ice cream . . .

Happy Friday Friends!
Today I'm playing along in a sketch challenge that is just about to
end (noon today PST).  Yikes!  I'd better hurry!

The sketch challenge I'm referring to is at The Paper Players.
Here's the sketch . . .

I was just in the middle of coloring this adorable digi offered as a freebie from Sparkle & Sprinkle.  I will share this card in their March FB Challenge as well.  I thought it would be a good focus image for my card and I made it into a boy's birthday card.  Doesn't this look like something that would happen to a little boy?  LOL
Boy SAD ... Dog HAPPY!

I took the liberty of adding sentiment flags and a balloon to complete my birthday theme using the Poppystamps 'Classic Ribbons', Tutti Designs 'Happy' and 'Birthday' and the Impression Obsession 'Balloons'.

I've colored my image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, die cut using Tutti Designs 'Cross Stitched Nesting Rectangles' and the background designer paper is Doodlebug 'Dragon Tails'.

What fun I'm having today!

A card like this is always great fun, isn't it? The image, the paper, the die cuts... all that great stuff to play with. This definitely makes a great birthday card for a boy! The image couldn't be more realistic. My husband recently dropped a whole package of lunch meat on the kitchen floor and Wally was right on it. Luckily it was only a small package of Carl Buddig. Yup -- Rich SAD... Wally HAPPY!

Well, your card is a great arrangement. I love that image and have the rubber stamp set with him on it. I will have to remember to get that set out again soon. And, yes, many a kid has lost their cone and came crying to Mom to tell the sad tale. But like you said, the dog was happy! LOL

Such a cute expression on that pooch. I can see my dog looking like that. She was such a lady that she would not start licking it up until you said ok. Just a darling card.
