I'm ready for Spring . . .

Hello My Friends!
Today I've created a fun card using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for their current challenge and an image (freebie) from Sparkle and Sprinkle which I plan on entering into their March FB Challenge.  Isn't this little guy adorable?  A few years ago hubby & I made and hung several bird houses in our wooded area.  I love seeing them being occupied each spring with new families of birds.

Here's the sketch I followed ...

After printing out this adorable digi image, I colored him with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers then did a bit of fussy cutting with my Fiskars swivel craft knife.  I try to fussy cut with scissors but seem to do better with the swivel knife.  Different strokes for different folks I guess ... lol.

I have once again jumped into my new Doodlebug 'Dragon Tails' designer paper which was purchased from the Dies R Us Store.   So Cute!   Have you noticed that they aren't JUST dies anymore?  They now offer paper packs (6x6 & 12x12), inks, Stickles, Nuvo, Tim Holtz etc. etc.  Check 'em out!!

I have used card stock scraps for my ovals and rectangle panels and popped my image up using Scotch Dimensional Tape.  A scrap of Really Reasonable Ribbon (actually holiday - snowflakes on the other side) and my card is ready to go!

I am having such a great time joining in some of the fun challenges offered out there in blogland the past few days.  I enjoy a sketch and have come to enjoy the tic tac toe options also.  When my mojo is lacking, I typically turn to the challenges to get it going again!

Challenges to share in:
TIME OUT Challenge #104 - Bold

Don't forget about the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog DT Call running through March 16, 2018.
You can find all the details by clicking HERE.

Just a quick share ...
We actually saw an Eastern Blue Bird (like the one in the photo) on our deck railing last week.  That's not a bird we see often here in the suburbs ... so it was exciting to see him up close and personal right outside my kitchen window.  He didn't stay long and I hope he comes back ... time will tell.

As always ...

Adorable card and love the sketch! I never use sketch, I try it difficult (I'm strange, uh? LOL) but this inspires me so much, want have a try...
So glad you feed birds, these free creatures need always some help in certain seasons. The blue bird is delightful! I have never seen one!
Have a lovely week!

What a cute card! Love the design of the card and your coloring of the digi! I am beginning to hear a few song birds returning to my area. I love it during the warmer months when I awake each and every morning to happy birds singing away outside my bedroom window!

Ack, cute! I love the sketch and how you adapted it to a rectangle card. Brilliant colors, the blue and green with golden yellow to pop. Your cutie patootie bird house builder stands out beautifully against the rich blue. You do a great job cutting with your craft knife. It kills my index finger so I only use it for the inside areas. How I would love to see that bird at my feeders! We get a lot of birds, but not many so colorful. Sweet!

very cute masculine card, love how you colored him. We have a lot of starlings this year that won't go away, in fact they are bringing more black birds our way, so sad cause I love to see the little birds, I hope they don't scare away my hummingbirds when they arrive at the end of the month. I so agree that sketches and challenges sure do help when you go blank :)
Hope you get a chance to see that pretty bird more often soon!
