Masculine Scenic Creations

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Today I have more (yes sorry ...) birthday cards to share.
This time I went with more masculine birthday cards since they
seem to be the hardest to create but quick to sell out at the shows.

When it comes to masculine cards, I'm always safe using
my Stampscapes stamps.  Here I've used three different scenic
stamps to create similar but different cards.

I've used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to add a little color in the foreground
but left the background black & white.  The background paper is from
a huge 12x12 DCWV stack that my friend Linda gave me before she
moved to South America.  I've added a simple embellishment by die cutting
the largest tree from the Impression Obsession 'Fir Trees' set.

Another background paper from the same 12x12 pack and I think it
worked beautifully with this Stampscapes stamp. Coloring was done the same way
but colored the entire scene this time.  Chalk was added to the color the sky.
The embellishment is Memory Box 'Leaping Deer'

Once again, same background paper pack, different Stampscapes
stamp and touch of coloring.  No added embellishment this time.

Inside
I've used the same Hero Arts inside sentiment and added a little
Stampscapes 'rocks' stamp underneath.

Challenges to share in:

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

Don't be sorry. Personally, I need more birthday cards than anything. Most are for me to send out, but my friends ask for them, too. And the masculine ones are the hardest, so any idea is welcome. The Stampscapes are awesome, and brilliant with the die cuts in the foreground. I especially love the one with the deer. This time of year I'm needing to hurry along with the Christmas cards, yet the birthday cards still need to be made, too. Where is the time? Ack!!

I knew those were Stampscape stamps before I read your post. They are so awesome - and I don't own any. I love what you have done with them, and keeping some of the image black and white is genius! Simply perfect!

These are fabulous guy cards, I have a lot of brothers, nephews and great nephews I make cards for so I could use all the inspiration I can get :) Love how you used the die cuts with them, I have that last stamp and really like how you have colored it!!

These are really wonderful masculine birthday cards. I find they are harder to make than girlie ones....I can always slap a flower on one of those lol

Dar as always, what a terrific array of masculine cards you've created with the Designer Background paper and the Stampscapes stamps. I absolutely love each and every on of them, although I'm super partial to the white deer. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us at the Watercooler Wednesday challenge this week.
