Color Throwdown #53

It's time for another awesome Color Throwdown Challenge. This week's hostess is Danielle Kennedy - Wild Dragonfly Designs and she has picked a great color combo. Be sure to jump on over to the blog and check out the design team's samples ... they just keep getting better every week!!!

Today I chose to use a new Verve sentiment that I recently purchased at Joan's Gardens as my main focus . The base card is of Rose Red and the background panel is SU Bella Birds designer paper matted with Bordering Blue.
I did modify the dp a bit ... I used my Rose Red marker and went over the close
to cocoa stripes in the paper to make it match the color requests better.
The background image behind my sentiment is from a Stacey Stamps set and was stamped with Rose Red onto Whisper White cardstock. My Verve sentiment was stamped with Versafine Black and embossed using Detail Clear EP. I've used a round tip black Creative Memories marker to outline my Pink Pirouette mat panel to give the illusion of matting without the extra weight. The ribbon is Stampin' Up bordering blue satin.

I hope you enjoyed my creation today! It looks like an All Day Soaker here in N.E. Ohio so I think I'll just spend my day stamping ... what do you think? Good idea?? I'm sure I'll have more to share with you later in the day. Until then ...
