From Our House to Yours!

Hello friends!
Today I'm playing along with the new challenge over on the Back to Basics and Beyond
Challenge Blog where their theme is to Stamping or Coloring On Vellum.

I don't use think to use this technique often enough so thought it would be fun to join in!  I ALWAYS love seeing cards using this technique and I had a lot of fun creating today's card.  Hope you like it!

For my focus image, I've used a very old Stampendous stamp
called 'Christmas Truck'.  I've stamped it onto vellum using
Versafine Onyx ink then embossed it with detail clear embossing powder.
Then did the coloring on the backside using Spectrum
Noir alcohol marker and ZIG marker.

I have used the Memory Box 'Shaker Square Frames' (#30030)
for my framing but decided NOT to actually make a shaker card.
Instead I chose to just let the background paper show through.

My accent Winter Corner die is by

'From Our House to Yours' (#CEDME016)
I've die cut it twice (once white, once black) then off set them to
create a shadow effect.

A bit of sparkle was added to the snowflake corner using Diamond Stickles.

I hope you've enjoy today's card share.

  5. Absolutely awesome, Darlene! I love the background papers. Those snowflakes really set the scene. And what a scene it is! That heat embossed truck and tree really stand out. Beautiful colouring, of course. And then your choices of die-cut frame, flourishes and sentiment complete this card perfectly. A wonderful creation!
