Sisterhood - Inspiration Mood Board

Hello dear friends!
Wow!  Time is sure flying by!
It's already time for a new challenge over

The theme today is to draw inspiration from the mood board below:

My eye was drawn to the beautiful pumpkins so that's where my card began!
THIS was my original card when I began this post ...

I chose to create with an older but fun die from Tutti Designs called Elegant Pumpkins.

TUTTI-150 Elegant Pumpkins
I die cut it from white cardstock ... then before the pumpkin pieces fell out, I colored them (while still in the die) using a darker Spectrum Noir alcohol marker.  Then I let the pieces fall out of the die onto my table where I colored them again using a lighter orange color.  After coloring my entire 'white' die panel with the green & orange colors, I placed a piece of scotch tape across the back side of the pumpkins in order to give the popped out panels a way to stay in until it was adhered to my card front.

The background paper is a cut from a VERY OLD DCWV Halloween 12x12 sheet of designer paper and I think was all that was needed.

For my sentiment I used the Frantic Stamper 'Fall Words' die set.  I actually used the word 'Thanksgiving' and cut it apart to have it say 'giving Thanks'

THEN I spotted another new die set I hadn't put away yet and decided to ADD JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING MORE, and my card turned into THIS ...

Then FINALLY THIS!

The die set I'm referring to is Karen Burniston 'Autumn Elements'

I'm very happy with the FINAL version ... hope you like it too!

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

 See you there!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  4. Love, love, love this card, Dar! I'm so glad that you explained how you colored it and put it back together. I'm always at a loss how to do that. Your coloring is wonderful and the mixing of dies perfectly done. Great card! Hoping you and your family have a great holiday!

  5. It's fun to see the transformation. I loved it in the beginning, but even more so in the end. You did not do that with the sentiment die! OMW, now I'm sitting here trying to pick out more words. Just came from DRU. Don't make me go back!
