Sisterhood of Crafters - Flowers

 Hello my friends!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over on The Sisterhood of Crafters!
Our theme, chosen by Mwah this time around, is:

 FLOWERS

I had purchased some new floral stamps from the Altenew Company and today's challenge was the perfect time to ink them up!  I tried something a little different for the coloring on this one.

First I inked up my background panel by just using the extra ink that remained the sponge daubers I use for my TH Distress and Distress Oxide inks.  THEN, I stamped my Altenew Statement Flower

using Versafine Onyx ink.  Lastly for the flower, I colored the hightlight/accent  areas using my Derwent Inktense Pencils and an artist brush.

Inktense Pencil Set - Set of 24

Lastly I added my Altenew Halftone Smile stamp/die bundle for my sentiment.  Stamping the verse then stamping & die cutting the word SMILE.

Wasn't sure if doing the coloring this way would work,
but I'm pleased with the end result!

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!
My 'sistahs' have created some fabulous creations to help inspire you ...
be sure to pop over and check them out!

As always, thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to stop by!

  6. Well that certainly is the perfect name for the stamp as it sure does make a statement, a beautiful one at that! I feel ashamed as Greg bought me those Intense pencils about five years ago for Xmas and I have YET to use them, I think it is high time I get them out!
