Double D - Lighthouse

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Diane is our host today and her theme of choice is:

LIGHTHOUSE

and here's an inspiration board she has created to help get you started . . .

Today, I have used a very old wooden block stamp from a company called
Stamps Happen, Inc. (I don't see where they are still in business)
and I've watercolored my stamped image using Tombow markers.

By googling, I see this stamp is still available on Etsy.

After coloring, I decided to die cut it using the Memory Box
'Wrapped Stitched Frames' (#30117) and then adhered
it to my deep navy blue card base (though it looks black in the photo).

A little doodling on the edges and my card is complete.

I hope you've found inspiration from today's creation!
The prize that you'll be playing for this time around is:

Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!

You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!

  As always . . .

  8. Looks like many of us used older stamps that we have had for years. So good to see this one that you elected to look like you sketched it with a pen. I love that rustic look. Thanks for telling me about the Color Options!

  10. Ahh, love these old woodblock stamps! Stamps Happen had some of the best stuff and this one couldn't be more perfect for the challenge. Your watercoloring looks fabulous and I love how the frame worked out being cut and then put back together. A nice effect! I'm so happy to be back on the team!
