Can You Handle the Pressure - Twist - Weather

Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!

We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog and the TWIST theme is ...

Weather
(clouds, sunshine, rain, snow, etc.)

Remember, the twist is optional but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the prize.  Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with an embossing folder.

Here's what I've created to inspire you today.

To create my cloudy sky background, I first found a scrap of 12x12 sky patterned paper (from one of those JoAnn's 12x12 packs), cut it to size and then embossed it using an old Darice 'Cloudy Sky' embossing folder.  The clouds didn't seem to 'stand out' as well as I had hoped so I used my dark blue inked large dauber and gently swirled it across the clouds to make them more noticeable.

My grass edge is a die from Paper Rose 'Grass Edge' (#17571) and my bucket/flowers is a die set by Jeanine's Art called 'Watering Can & Bucket' (#JAD10117).

The flowers & bucket were coloring using Tombow markers.

I do hope you'll come check out our challenge blog and play along.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!

As always . . .

  4. That's a very creative idea to use the cloudy sky paper and the cloud embossing folder together! That would be our weather today. Add some wind... Cute little bucket of flowers and I like the grass border, too!
