Playing with my new goodies . . .

Hello friends ... hope your weekend was a great as mine!

I was so happy to see my crafting friend Sandy come back into town from North Carolina for the annual Adventures in Stamping convention held here in Akron, OH each April.  After covid, we only have about half the usual vendors (20-25 vs 50+) but it's still fun to walk around, do some make & takes and stock up on crafting goodies without having to pay shipping all the time.  Here's a card I created using only TWO items that I picked up ... (1) paper ... (2) 3D image.

(Inside verse:  Wishing you a lifetime of Happiness)

One of our first stops is always at the Blue Knight booth and this year they has something new (besides their fabulous stamps) ... they now have designer paper for cardmaking and it's precut.

I've used a background sheet from 1 of the 5 packs I purchased.  Actually, show special ... buy 4 get 1 free!  LOL  Works for me!

I had this idea in my head before getting out of bed this morning so just had to put it together before heading outside to finish our mulching project.

All I needed was an image from 1 of the 'many' 3D topper packs I also purchased.  (Love these things!)
I've used an image from the 'Wedding Couples' pack.  You can purchase these online at Ecstasy Crafts.  I purchased 11 different packs as I saw on their website that due to the tariffs some shipments may be delayed.  (once again ... purchasing at AIS saved on shipping charges).

More could be added to this card to 'fancy' it up a bit but I just wanted to see how these two different products would work together and I'm pleased to see they will.

Here are the 3 Make n Takes we did at the Blue Knight booth ...

The two standing up were done with Pan Pastels for the background coloring and Blue Knight image stamps and the one laying down use the 'reverse' side of their new paper panels and a Blue Knight image stamp.

OKAY ... fun time is over ... the MULCH PILE is calling my name!  LOL
We should be able to get it all finished today (been working on it for the past week!  A lot of work but looks SO NICE when completed.  Of course, I don't know how many more years I/we can do this ourselves ... not getting any younger lol.

Have a fabulous day & week ahead!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and

  1. Oh, how wonderful! There really is nothing like craft shopping in person. I miss that. Your two pieces went together beautifully on your wedding card, and your make 'n takes are fabulous! I know what you mean about the mulching. I transplanted a large pot yesterday and I have to say the pots get heavier every year.

  3. Your card is so pretty, great when the background is done for you all ready and you can have fun playing with different scenes. Looks like you had fun at the make and takes, more terrific cards :) I am with you, I can't do like I use to, but we got to do what we can to keep going :)

  4. Such a beautiful card for a wedding and wonderful make n takes. Love those scenes! As I am currently decluttering my craft room (again!!) I thought about selling my Pan Pastels as I never use them. Seeing these gorgeous scenes I may have to hang on to them LOL. (As usual, can't get rid of anything haha).
