Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Here's today's theme:
SPRINGTIME FLOWERS
and here's an inspiration board created to help get you started . . .
I just love the spring time when the flowers start popping out of the ground and the grass starts to get green again. This has been a long, COLD winter and I'm very happy to put it behind me! LOL
I am always in need of ladies birthday cards, so I let the tulips in the mood board inspire me today. I love tulips but so do the deer and they get to mine before they even have a chance to get all the way out of the ground! LOL Today's tulips are a 3D Topper from Hearty Crafts ... this pack is called Snowdrops (HC 11188).

I thought for sure I had a large Pitcher die but do you think I could find it??? So, for my vase I decided to use a teapot (which I actually do for my spring flowers) and that die is an old Spellbinder set called Tea Service. (can still be found on Amazon)
I die cut the teapot from white card stock then added the gold elements using a Pilot Gold Marker.
A panel from the Mintay 'Dreamer' 6x6 paper pack was used for my background and the sentiment was cut twice using Tutti Designs 'Happy and Birthday' dies.
You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you at Double D!
One word....Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, wouldn't this be a nice pot of flowers to have on your table for Easter dinner, better then the ham LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous splash of spring color! Your teapot is so cute, I thought it was part of the bouquet. Love how you decorated it! You just have to appreciate some of the oldies like this. Look how handy it was for your card! I have the Homespun set and used the basket on a card coming up. Now I'm looking for excuses to use it again. I sympathize about the deer. Same here.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! That bouquet of spring flowers looks lovely in that teapot. Beautiful floral background paper too.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I really miss here in Florida is spring flowers. But with a card like this, I Could really get that springtime feeling that I miss. Wonderful tulips, and Lily of the valleys in the teapot.
ReplyDeleteThat last comment it was me, Barb
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card. Those 3D Toppers look amazing. I finally gave up on trying to have roses. Turns out the deer love roses, too. lol
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Dar! I love the sweet tea kettle filled with tulips. I thought they came together. The touches of gold you added to the teapot are genius and really make it special.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Dar! I love that gold edging on your teapot. DEFINITELY casing that design idea. Thanks for the inspiration! Your tulip topper is lovely, especially bunched in the teapot. Your take on the challenge is fantastic. I cannot remember enough of my supplies, so I recently purged a bit more, and reorganized. Thanks for sharing your pretty artwork AND creating fun challenges for the rest of us. As for the deer... they love our corn, and last night, they raided all the new growth on the green beans. Other than that, they are well-behaved, only targeting the pasture and grass. How frustrating about your tulips! Then again, it's nice you help Mother Nature by offering dessert to her creatures. LOL hugs, de
ReplyDeleteWow, this card just screams springtime. I remember spring from my distant past. I'm hoping sometime soon I will experience it again....lol. I love your background and that sweet teapot. Super cute!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Tea Pot with gold trim, so pretty! And the Tulips are gorgeous--a sure sign of Spring.....when the deer eat them lol Sorry!
ReplyDeleteLovely bouquet and pretty tea pot for them to sit in, lovely papers to go with it too!
