This morning I was honored to receive this Sweet Friend Award from my dear blogging girlfriend Kim.    Thanks so much, I'm thrilled!

Know I'm supposed to tell you 10 things about myself!  (Okay ... this awta be good!!!)

1.  My favorite color is PURPLE
2.  Favorite junk food is CHIPS & DIP
3.  Married THREE times (If at first you don't succeed ... try, try again & 3rd time was the charm, teehee)
4.  Had ONE child and figured that was enough ... (been there, done that, don't need to do it again!  LOL!!)
5.  I am the MIDDLE daughter with both sister's being hairdressers ... Mom asked me if I wanted to be a hairdresser too ... I instantly said NO THANKS!!!
6.  I am presently ADDICTED to CARDMAKING ... duh!!
7.  I LOVE meeting new people and if I get to meet my online friends in person ... WHOO HOO ... how awesome is that!!
8.  I used to SMOKE (oh YUK!!) ... I quit when my granddaughter Morgan was born nearly 18 years ago!
9.  I spent a very short time in my life driving an 18-WHEELER (and I'm only 5'2" tall) ... envision that!
10.  My older sister & I took tap dancing for 13 years ... beginning at ages 3 & 4.  As adults, we went back to dancing for a couple of years and even competed in SHOWSTOPPERS where we took a 1st Place in the Age 40-50 bracket!

Okay ... that's enough about me!   You can stop laughing now!!!  Thanks again Kim for giving me the opportunity to PUT MYSELF OUT THERE!  YIKES!!!    Happy Day Everyone!!!

Wonderful Online FRIENDS ...

I received this award awhile back from my friend and co-team member for Digital Ink Co ... Kim at Memories in Thyme. In the rules, there is a long list of questions which you are to give one word answers to ... but since Blogger won't let me cut & paste these days, that part will have to wait for another day ... sorry! I've been trying to get it to work so I could post this earlier but nothing seems to be helping!! ?? !! Thanks Kim for your kindness ... it's been so much fun getting to know you and all the others on the team!! What an awesomely talented group that I am so proud to be a part of!!

Now if that wasn't enough ... (I AM SO BLESSED!!!) ... today I received this wonderful award from my friend and Crafty Secrets buddy Julie Campbell - A Vintage Chic. If you have never been to Julie's blog ... PLEASE, click on the link and check it out ... she is so talented!! Not only in her card making abilities, but cooking (shares recipes) ... photography (shares beautiful scenes) and her wonderful, bubbly personality is very contagious!! If I ever make it back over to the "other" coastline ... I'll surely be knocking on Julie's door!!! Thanks girlfriend for this honor ... I'll display it proudly!!


For this one I'm supposed to tell you 5 things you don't already know about me!! So, here goes! (A couple of these I posted a long time ago on another award ruling ... sorry if I repeat myself ... my life isn't all that exciting!! teehee)

1. I've been married THREE times (third time's the charm) and the first time was at age 17 (what was I thinking?????)

2. I took DANCING (tap & ballet) from age 3 until age 16 along with my sister, Linda, who is 13 months older than myself.

3. Linda & I went back to DANCING together again when we were in our 40's and won a ShowStopper Competition in N.C. (not bad for dancing grannies, LOL).

4. I can type 90 words a minute with zero errors. As long as I have my fingers, I'll always have a job!! (Not that I want one mind you!!)

5. I am TERRIFIED of loosing my husband ... I've always known he is the best thing that has ever happened to me (other than giving birth to my DD) ... but after this last year's bout with cancer ... I am even more afraid but I put my trust in the Lord that if that time comes ... he will guide me through it!


Thanks everyone for letting me boast a bit! I can remember not all that long ago I made the comment to my daughter ... "I'll never have a blog ... I wouldn't know where to start or what to say" !! Well it didn't take me long to figure it out and THANK GOD I DID!! I have met SO MANY wonderful, supportive people through blogland ... I can't imagine my day without them all! And that means YOU!!! Blessed Day To You!!!

I'm HUMBLED ~ Awards

I'm thrilled to have received these awards from two new co-design team members. It's so heart warming to know that such talented ladies are inspired as much by my work as I am by theirs!!

The "I {heart} Your Blog" award came from Cheryl (CherCroppin's Stamp Pad) who is on the Penny's Challenge design team with me ... and ... also from Kim (Memories In Thyme) who shares a seat on the Digital-Ink Co. design team with me. Both are very talented ladies and I would appreciate it if you pop over to their blogs, check out their work and say Hello!

Cheryl also was kind enough to honor me with the "I Like Your Style" award! Isn't it awesome!! Now the rules for the "I Like Your Style" award is to pass it on to 5-7 bloggers who inspire you and that's going to take me a little more time to decide and post.

A New Award ...

Sweet Becky (A Diamond in the Rough) has honored me with this award today!!! Certainly helped to put a smile on my face today knowing that I can inspire other folks. THANKS BECKY!!

Shouting out special "THANKS"

I am SO sorry for the lateness of this post, but there are three wonderful ladies who send me awards last month and I never got around to acknowledging them or saying how grateful I am for their support.

First was Vicki Chrisman who honored me with this Inspiration Award way back at the beginning of December. How thrilled I was (and still am) to be included as one of those stampers who is considered "inspirational". Thanks so much Vicki ... and I'm sure you realize that YOU are an inspiration to me with all the GREAT creations you make with the Crafty Secrets (my favorite) products! Keep up the good work ... it gives me hope!!

Secondly was Kay Squire who invited me to join in on a fun game of Blog Tag - A Game for a Virtual Meet & Greet! I've played this game before and it's wonderful to learn new things about your blogging friends and to share a little more of yourself with them! I haven't gotten around to play again at Kay's request, but it is on the top of my To-Do-List. Thanks so much Kay for thinking of me and sharing the fun facts about yourself. I think when I do get around to doing this, you'll be surprised at a few facts about myself. Just a little teaser ... I drove Semi Tractor Trailer for a short period of time. Stay tuned ... more to come!!!

And, last but not least, my dear Design Team partner over at Stampin' D'Amour and friend ... Kris Dickinson. Known to those of you on SCS as "Parkerquilter". Kris has a wonderful, unique way of making vintage come alive. I was so thrilled when she honored me with this Proximity Award.

Another Award - I Am So Honored!!

Over the past week or so, I have received this award from two lovely ladies and I apologize to them both for just now getting around to sharing this with blogland!!

I can't believe I have already received blog awards! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I have received the Twinks Bank BBF Gold Card seen here from not just one, but two stamping friends! Tammy and Cindy!! Thanks so much ladies ...
