Hello my friends ... sorry I've been MIA the last few days!
Since spring has finally sprung, that means having to switch gears and get started not only on Spring Cleaning but also spring time preparation in my flower beds & yard! I'm sure you understand if you are a homeowner with a yard/property ... the work just never ends! LOL!
Anyways ... while the dough is rising for my biscuits (strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight) I wanted to share a couple little things with you ...

The other thing I'd like to share with you today is:
My neighbor & her mom invited me to come along with them to something called a PURSE PARTY being hosted by one of our local churches and a group called WOW - Women for Oppressed Women. Their missionary work is being done in Mozambique, Africa.
There was a Silent Auction of over more than 100 fabulous items ... ranging from $25 to $2000. I was thrilled to have WON THE BID on this fabulous Spartina purse & matching coin purse.
Isn't it beautiful!!
There were around 400 ladies attending this function and believe me the BUZZZZ was deafening! LOL! There were also tables with items donated by local business that you could put a ticket in the jar in hopes of winning through out the evening. Check out this FABULOUS idea on how to purchase your raffle tickets . . .
HOW CUTE ARE THESE LITTLE PURSES?!?
At one table the purses (with tickets inside) were $5 each and the other table they were $10. Inside the tickets you would keep were already paper clipped for you and the loose tickets were there ready for you to drop into which ever item you were interested in jar. And the fun part was YOU GOT TO KEEP these little purses. I purchased FIVE and have already given a few away! One was perfect for our little waitress friend that we see every Sunday at a local restaurant. I put her tip inside and she was THRILLED!!
Here's a photo to show you how little these 'change purses' are! I just love them and thought it was such a cute idea for the raffle tickets.
Well it's time to get my biscuits baked. Thanks so much for stopping by and please come back tomorrow when I'll have a new card creation to share with you for Shelly's Images.
As Always . . .
Oh wow those biscuits sounds yummy. Congrats on being published.
