CAS (Clean and Simple)

Happy Weekend Bloggers!
I have a quick card to share with you today and the style of this card is TOTALLY outside my comfort zone!  You'd think I'd enjoy this style since it's really quite & easy but I truly struggle with it ... I just keep wanting to ADD MORE!  Seems so UNDONE to me ... BUT, I see other people using this style and think ... WOW! That looks awesome!
So, I'm giving it a GO!

There's a new (to me at least) challenge out in blogland called
This is a very unique challenge blog ... you'll have to be sure and pop over to check it out!  Trust me, you'll find a 'concept' that fits your likes and also ones that make you 'think outside your comfortable box'!  (like I have today!)

Their current challenge theme is
MONOCHROMATIC PINK

I guess I could have used some of the pretty mint green as seen in this picture, but since the theme said PINKS, I strictly kept with that color palette.
Okay .. here we go!
MY card using the CAS style . . .

I simply grabbed 5 different shades of pink from my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and scribbled some sections of each color, then stamped one of my favorite sentiment stamps (Verses Rubber Stamps #FS0109-E) over top.  Placed my colored/stamped panel onto a SU pink pirouette card base and Viola!

Like I said ... TOTALLY NOT MY 'typical' STYLE!
But it's starting to grow on me ... what do you think??
AND as a friend pointed out ... that's what a challenge is supposed to be!
A CHALLENGE!!!

A few qualifying challenges:
Less is More - Anything Goes/One Layer
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Sentiments Only
Totally Gorjuss - Sentiments As Main Focus

Well it's lunch time here so I'd better go see what hubby's hungry for today!
I'm kind of thinking it's going to be a 'left over' meal day...
that will give me more creative time in my cave!  LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're enjoying your weekend!
