Welcome Back to my blog friends!
Here's
another image I found on Pinterest. This time I've matted it with medium
blue card stock to pull out that same color in the wooded area of the
image. I've used the Precious Marieke 'Icicles' (PM-10047) coated with Diamond Stickles as my accent and the Tutti Designs 'Happy' and 'Birthday' dies for my sentiment.
Here's another angle hopefully showing the sparkle a little better ...
As I said earlier in the week, I have several friends with Jan/Feb birthdays so I hope they enjoy the card I'm sending along this year. I'm still working at getting my mojo back so these cards are relatively easy peasy ... but pretty none the less! And besides ... they say 'It's the Thought that Counts'!!
Card #2
I've double matted this photo. First in a blue that mimicked the water then in kraft to pull out the color of the trees & weeds. Along the top I accidentally adhered the icicle panel on a wee bit crooked and couldn't remove it to reposition ... so I grabbed my Waterfall Stickles and laid a bead of sparkle. Here's a closer look . . .
The icicles were created using a very old Martha Stewart punch
and the sentiment is a stamp by Impression Obsession (also quite old!).
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and please stay safe & healthy!!
As always . . .
Your wonderful cards really evoke a feeling of being right in the middle of all that winter calm Darlene! PS Half my heart is there with you in OH where I visit family every chance I get :o) Nancy J
ReplyDeleteWow, the pictures are gorgeous and I can certainly see the sparkle on your icicles! You must have a good printer for color. I'm not happy with my current one at all and I only use it for black and white. I'm thoroughly enchanted by the landscape in your second card. Just magical and, yes, it is the thought that counts.
ReplyDeletesuch pretty images, they have a look of a painting and I like the icicles you have added to them, hope you get your mojo back, it is nice to have these easy cards to do at these times, I know I have my go to goodies for those quick cards too!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous Darlene. You turned these beautiful images into beautiful cards. You're always such great inspiration. I have so many of these images and sometimes I don't use them coz I can't figure out what to adorn the card with. Then I come visit your blog and voila ... go make a card of my own :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely and creative week.
Hugs,
Lena
Oh, good save, Darlene! And I love seeing the OLD STUFF and cards you didn't reinvent the wheel over. I sure hope your mojo bounces back soon, that can be such a bummer. Have a good week, xoxo
