Hello Everyone!
I trust your January is moving along nicely for you ... at least I'm hoping so!
With Omicron Covid running rampant everywhere, this is going to be a very long winter I fear!
So far so good for Mark & I but our kids have been dealing with a variety of illness from covid to the common cold since the new year began ... praying it is short lived for them and they are 100% quickly.
While I'm hiding in my crafting cave, I decided to take a little time and make a few Birthday cards which I will be needing late January and early February. So, here's the first of several I'll be working on today ... others to be shared later in the week.
Challenges I plan on sharing in today are:
AAA Cards Challenge #206 - Mood Board / CAS / Snow (Nancy's card inspired me)
Make My Monday Challenge #165 - Snowflakes
A Place to Start January Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafting Happiness January Challenge - Anything Goes
Just us Girls Challenge #614 - Inked or Sprayed Background
My CAS card was a very quick & easy card to create!
I simply sponged some TH Broken China Oxide Distress ink on the top 1/3 of my card base, added my Sue Wilson 'Frosty Snowflake Border' (CED3132) die which was cut from a scrap of white card stock then added my Diamond Stickles to the snowflakes & a sentiment by Inkadinkado. VIOLA!
Here's a close up of the sparkle (difficult to capture in the full photo) ...
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and I appreciate your comments!
Hope you like what I've shared with you today!!
As always ...
Very nice Darlene, glad you and your family is safe. Thank you for playing at AAA Cards
ReplyDeleteLOVE that die Darlene!!!! And on top of the blue with sparkles...very pretty! Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls this week!

ReplyDeleteYour border diecut and sponging give a beautiful icy effect, thank you for joining in at MMM
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card my Sis, loving your work. Had a short break from commenting so back now and keeping safe. The virus is ripe everywhere and I wonder when will it end... Carol and STeve were half way over here from Adelaide 12hrs in then had to go striaght back as He was a convid contact.....so hence we were on our own and they both ended up postive after having the vaccinations and booster....we are fine though. xx
ReplyDeletePretty but effective CAS card, I feel chilly just looking at it! {winkwink} Hope your family gets well without infecting you, this stuff's not going away, just morphs into something different, ugh. Never ever dreamed or nightmared the rest of my life would be like this, sigh. Oh well, I find my own happiness with what I have. Take care, xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card Darlene! Love the sparkle you added to your snowflake border and that you kept it all on the top of the card. As for the family...I hope all recover soon and you stay clear or all! Thanks for playing at Just Us Girls this week! Can you imagine how hard the past two years would have been if we didn't have our hobby! I am so grateful every single day! Take care!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you and Mark have been able to keep covid at bay, I do hope that your kids get better very soon from everything. My brother is home from the hospital but still having the side effects from Covid. I was worried about you when you hadn't posted in a few days, glad that you are staying safe in your craft space :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty, I love the effect the stickles gives to the snowflakes and the soft shading with the ink behind it!
I love the snowflake die and I love stickles. Just beautiful!
