Color Throwdown #30


Well, I'm back and STILL complaining!!!


WOW ... THIS WAS HARD!!! Yes folks, I do have my days and evidentally today is one of them!!! Maybe it's the YUCKY weather outside ... I need more sunshine & Vitamin D!! Enough of the gloom & doom winter crap! OK ... I'm done now!! On to my card ...
LeAnne Pugliese picked today's colors for the Color Throwdown Challenge and even though I think I ended up with a pretty cool card ... it took me FOREVER!!! Thanks LeAnne ... Today's colors are Tangerine Tango, Brilliant Blue & Ballet Blue. After getting the card all together I wasn't happy with using the Tangerine Tango as my card base so I cut it in half ... stamped a larger card with a Hero Arts flourishes stamp and used that as my base. I'm happier now!!! LOL!! My main image is by Impression Obsession. I've stamped it using Versafine Black and then clear embossed it. I colored in the ribbon using an American Crafts copper glitter pen. My ribbons both came from Michael's and the brads are from Making Memories. I used dimensional tape in between my Nestabilities Label panels in order to ran the ribbons through.

    I think you did a great job - and I can see why you struggled - those colors would be difficult to work with - but I think it came out adorable and that hat is the cutest, love the ribbon technique and your brads.
