Happy Friday Everyone!
Today I have a card to share that was created with some
new 'goodies' from the Dies R Us Store.
new 'goodies' from the Dies R Us Store.
I hope it 'Brightens Your Day'!
The main focus of my design is this fun PoppyStamps 'Meadow Flower'
which I have die cut three times from scraps of white card stock then colored using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
It was die cut once from a scrap of yellow patterned designer paper,
then colored over using the CT4 Spectrum Noir yellow alcohol marker for added brightness.

The white frame was die cut twice and glued together with the flower stems in between. The black frame was only die cut once. The frame and some of the petals on the flowers were popped up using Scotch 3 dimensional tape.
The butterfly was in my stash and punched from a scrap of watercolor paper using the Martha Stewart 3-in-1 butterfly punch. When I have scraps of the watercolor panels I create for background, I usually use this punch and keep them in a recycled 'Cow Cheese' container for future use such as today!
I really love how the colors came out on my flowers. Many of my Spectrum Noir markers are drying up and I can't seem to find refills for all of them any longer. I have the entire set of markers but only half the refills ... dang. Anyways, the leaves/stems were colored with one of those markers that is slowly drying up ... but I used the fat end and got what I could out of it! LOL For the flowers I used the PL series ... PL1, PL2 & PL4 (#3 is dried up). After one quick coat, I ran another coat or two along the edge to add dimension.
