Hello Everyone!
It's a new month and that means the start of a new monthly challenge
During a recent 'clean up' I discovered I had this beautiful Ultimate Crafts 'Winter Wonderland' embossing folder (huh, wonder how long that's been hidden ... lol). Anyways ... it's a 5x7 size embossing folder but I've cut it down a bit to fit an A6 size card. I embossed it onto white card stock and had intended on doing an all white creation but then got the bright idea to sponge over the embossed words to make them pop a bit. I've used just what was left in my sponge daubers for the coloring ... using a red distress sponge & a green oxide distress sponge.
I didn't want to add too much to the front and take away from the beautiful embossing so I simply looked through my snowflake dies and did a bit of layering with them . . . VIOLA! Perfect!
The dies I've chosen today are:
Spellbinder 'Create-a-Flake 3' (S4-340)
Cheery Lynn Designs 'Laced Pine Snowflake' (#DL175)
I have layered them according to their size and added a touch of Diamond Stickles in the middle for a needed touch of holiday sparkle. Using gold foil paper for my middle sized snowflake brought just enough elegance and flair.
I hope you've enjoyed today's Christmas card and I can't wait to see what
you create and share over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing you a fabulous week ahead!
As always ...
So pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove how you sponged over the embossing - it adds so much texture to your card, and that layered snowflake is amazing.
