Tutti Designs - Celebrating Christmas

Happy Monday Friends!
Today I'm sharing another fun holiday card
using dies from the Tutti Designs Store.

The dies used on today's card are:

TUTTI-411 Cross Stitch Nesting Circles

TUTTI-460 Poinsettia Candles

 TUTTI-243 Word Set - Celebrate
I die cut a circle using red card stock and the Cross Stitched Nesting Circles.
And the Poinsettia Candles from white card stock.  The retrieved the inside of the 'flames' and colored them yellow using a Spectrum Noir alcohol marker.

After gluing my candles down to the circle, I inlaid the yellow flames.  Next,  I laid just the upper portion of the poinsettia candle die onto gold foil card stock and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I did a little fussy cutting and sat them aside to adhered to the white candles once I had the bottom floral section finished.

From a scrap of green printed designer paper, I die cut the Bottom portion of the poinsettia candles and glued it down over the white panel.

NOW I can adhere the Gold candles into place.

You will see in the final photo that I wasn't happy with the lighter green color on the lower portion of this design so I used a dark green Spectrum Noir alcohol marker and colored over the entire lower portion.

The Celebrate die cut was cut from the same red card stock and my card is almost ready to go!
Did you notice the little white dots around the bottom portion of the candle circle panel?
It was just TOO SOLID in color for me so I grabbed a while gelly roll pen and started adding a touch of 'snow'.
Better now!  LOL

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store

  3. Oh, I like the way you layered the foliage over the candles! One does not have to use a die exactly as it comes. There are so many possibilities and that's what's fun about this stuff. Beautiful gold candles and the yellow flames really glow!
