Chicken Soup Wishes

Happy Friday All!
Today I'm joining several cousins for our monthly cousins breakfast over in PA but wanted to share one of the cards I created for one of the five boxed sets I'm creating for one of my 1st cousins (delivering this set today).

Enabled by BFF Diane (Nellie's Nest), I recently placed an order through The Scrappin Cottage when they were having one of their amazing sales and thought this fun Chicken Noodle Soup die would make a great get well card.  These boxed sets are actually gifts for some of my cousins Amish friends who are getting married.  I sure hope these ladies like the cards I am making because I know how crafty the Amish ladies are themselves.  Anyways ... back to this fun die and card.

Here's what I came up . . .

What do you think?
CUTE HUH!!  LOL

I've used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for my coloring and it actually took me awhile
to come up with the simple design because I didn't want to take away
from these dies.

The top border was created from a scrap of floral designer paper that I punched
using a very old Martha Stewart border punch.  And, how about that sentiment ... perfect huh!

I was over visiting my crafting friend Doni High (Lime Green Giggles) and was
showing her this die set and she said "Oh wait ... I have the perfect sentiment stamp."
I think it's from Picket Fence but don't quote me.

Okay, sorry but this needs to be short & sweet today!
Hope you all have a FABULOUS day!!

As always . . .

  6. What??? OMG, this is way too cute! That chicken! The noodles! Ack! Or should I say b'kok!!?? Your kitchen-y looking paper is perfect for it. Looks like wallpaper and curtains. They do have some amazing sales at The Scrapping Cottage. I always look at overstock and retired, but then I get drawn into the rest of it and, well, you know what happens then. Looks like the same sentiment set I have which is Words to the Rescue. The die you cut it with is also perfect for the kitchen. So adorable all over, Darlene!
