Merry Little Christmas Challenge Time

Hello Everyone!
It's a new month and that means the start of a new monthly challenge

Today I decided to make a wintry scene and it was super easy using an embossing folder, old punch, Sue Wilson die set, torn paper & a touch of Diamond Stickles for sparkle!

Elements used:

Sue Wilson - Festive Collection - Build a Snowman (CED3142)
Hunkydory  - A Holly Jolly Christmas (MSTONE035) (sentiment)
Provocraft (Cuttlebug) Snowflake Embossing Folder (old)
Martha Stewart Icicle Punch (old)

I tore strips of scrap white card stock to create my snow mounds then added a touch of sparkle using Diamond Stickles along the top edges.  I did the same on the upper icicle panel.  A light sponging of Tim Holtz distress ink was used over the embossed background panel to give the snow a little added dimension.

I had a scrap of yellow polka dot paper laying on the work table so thought it would work quite well for my lantern illumination.  Red Stickles was used for the holly berries and just a few small pieces of dimensional tape was used behind the lantern top & snowman's head for added dimension.

I hope you've enjoyed today's Christmas card and I can't wait to see what you create and share over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing you a fabulous week ahead!

As always ...

  2. Ah, Christmas cards... I know I should be working on them. Guess I'll just have to see how many cards of ALL kinds I can make. The more stamping, the better in my book. This is adorable, Darlene! You're so good at scene building. I love the stitchy snowman!
