It's time for Peace on Earth

And also time for a new challenge at the

Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge Blog

 Hello Friends!

 I hope you're having a wonderful day!
This is our second challenge over at the new Christmas blog and I hope you'll come join us.

Here's our inspiration board to lend you a helping hand but remember you DO NOT need to follow the board ... our challenge is ANYTHING CHRISTMAS!

Here's what I've created today and be sure to pop over to see what the team has created ... AMAZING INSPIRATION you won't want to miss!

I have so many Christmas stamps & dies, I could make a dozen cards for each challenge and still not use all the products I have!  (I don't think I'm the only one that can make this statement!  lol)

Anyways, I've dove into some older dies & stamps to create today's card using

Cheery Lynn Designs - Winter Neighborhood Border (B323)
Cheery Lynn Designs - Santa's Sleigh & Reindeer (B326)
Stampin' Up - Merry Christmas stamp

I started by sponging Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks onto a panel of white card stock then spritzing with water which was dabbed dry to create my snowy background.  Though difficult to see in my photo, I have torn white card stock and place it below my neighborhood border to create mounds of snow.

I do hope you'll come join in our Christmas Projects fun.
You can create ANYTHING CHRISTMAS to enter into our challenges and who knows, we just might surprise everyone with a prize from time to time (we've been known to do that lol)!

Thanks so much for stopping by and here's wishing you a fabulous week ahead!

As always,

  1. Such a sweet Christmas creation Darlene and these colors - the perfect combination :-)
Thanks for the hint and shortcut to the wonderful blog and for all the inspiration you share on Peace On Earth.
    Hugs from Slovenia, Majda

  2. Pretty Christmas/Winter scene you have created, great job of sponging!! Yes I can relate to you how many stamps and dies I could work with, which is why I LOVE our challenge, gives us an opportunity to use our 'stuff'!!

  3. Another darling make! Great snowy background, Darlene!

  4. Your card brings the magic of Christmas to the neighborhood! I love it all. Beautiful mood board, too. I hope you're having fun today, Darlene!

  7. Sorry I am so late posting a comment. I don't know where the time goes. I love this card with the snowy background and snowy neighborhood. Isn't fun to use the Cheery Lynn dies. I love these challenges where we get to go through all are old supplies and give the a dusting off.

  8. very cute scene, I love how you inked the background and like your torn pieces for the snow too!

  9. This is lovely Darlene and now I have "Santa Claus is coming to town" song stuck in my head :-)

  10. Hello Darlene: I love this sweet and whimsical card, the scene you created makes me want to be a kid again!!
The way you created the snow hills for your the little village in the background and, of course, Santa and his reindeer complete this scene perfectly.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Stay healthy and safe.

  11. Darlene, I love this card. I just received a village die set today and had searched for a little while. Oh how I wish I would have seen the set you used today. It's really a great die. Wish I had it. Sigh..........[Bunny]
