Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!
We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog
and the TWIST theme is 'SUMMER'. Remember, the twist is optional
but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the
prize. Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with
an embossing folder.
Here's what I've created to inspire you today.
Oh how I would love to be sitting in that chair on a beach somewhere right about now! LOL
Summertime for a lot of people means headed to a location where the sun is shining and they can just chill out and relax! Forgetting about all the 'life stuff' just a little while!
These days (with covid hanging around and me getting older), summer means spending more time with my kids every chance I get, just hanging out on the deck with the grill going and maybe some bocce ball or something like that going on in the yard.
For today's card, I've used the 'ink directly to embossing folder' technique to create the background. I have used a Couture Creations embossing folder and Tim Holtz 'mustard seed' oxide distress ink. The dies used are as follows:
I do hope you'll come check out our new blog and play along.
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!
Here's today's prize offering . . .
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!
As always . . .
This is such a happy card Darlene. Filled with sunshine :-) Love it, my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I just love the gorgeous image with those colours, have a nice weekend ♥
ReplyDeleteHow I would like to sit in that chair!

Oh gosh, this reminds me of our night here at the beach last night (minus the palm tree of course, a pine tree here lol), we sat in Adirondack chairs on the beach with a fire going and the neighbors discussing the ways of life as they are now, so the perfect and true to form beach scene!! Fabulously fun scene!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful summer card Darlene, awesome background. You're right, the beach is great, but enjoying your own back yard is great too!
ReplyDeleteI love this very summery card. Your inking on the EF looks fantastic as to the chair and palm tree. Love the way they are colored. Enjoying your family anywhere is always a wonderful thing - especially at home.
ReplyDeleteYes this for sure says summer, like how you inked the embossing and a great summer time scene. I hope you are having those special moments with family!
ReplyDeleteFabulous summer creation; love the sunny glow!
ReplyDeleteWe've had so much rain the past few weeks, I may have to case your idea to get some sunshine.
ReplyDeleteLovely vibrant card . tc stay safe and blessed
ReplyDeleteSuch a bright and warm and wonderful summer card. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, this turned out great! The folder makes a fabulous backdrop for your summery scene. I would love to be there, too, but not happening. Maybe someday, but happy to enjoy the garden and the local scenery for now.
