Hello Dear Friends!
What a great & fun theme idea ... thanks Diane!!
While looking through my binder of beachy dies I spotted these adorable Amy Designs 'dolphins' (#ADD10102) and immediately my brain went into create a scene mode! LOL
I created the sky on my card front using TH oxide 'broken china' ink and a large sponge dauber. I actually used the ink that remained in the sponge I use for the TH 'mustard seed' oxide ink to create my sun. I tore a few strips of scrap white card stock then sponged it using TH 'salty ocean' oxide ink to create my ocean waves.
I die cut the dolphins from scraps of white card stock the colored them with a Tombow N-45 Gray Water Based Marker, water and an artist brush.
My sentiment is by Pink Fresh and I've used a Stampscapes 'birds' stamp in the sky.
Not perfect by any sense of the word, but it was fun to make and hopefully whom ever I send it to will appreciate my efforts lol.

ReplyDeleteFabulous card with the jumping Dolphins, makes me think of our times in Florida at Sea World, which was always a fun place, to see that many dolphins at once is amazing!! What a fun card and a cool die, a great sea scene!!
ReplyDeletePerfect design, love the torn paper for the waves/white caps. Your pod (is that what you call them?) of dolphins are so fun, love to see this scene from a boat, any boat lol Perfect!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, Darlene! I love this pod of jumping dolphins. A perfect sea creature to go with the sentiment. The torn paper and inking help create a great water scene.
ReplyDeleteI love that you made the dolpins jumping out of the water. They look glorious when they do that and create oohs and ahhs! I once swam with the dolphins, true story.
