Hello Friends, thanks for stopping by today!
We have a new challenge starting today over on our new Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Blog
and the TWIST theme is 'ORANGE/BLACK'. Remember, the twist is optional
but you MUST use an embossing folder on our projects to qualify for the
prize. Heat embossing is also permitted but only in conjunction with
an embossing folder.
Once I created the background panel, I decided to emboss it using a very old Provo Craft - Cuttlebug embossing folder. These older embossing folders don't have names on them so we'll just call this one 'Swirls'.
Our challenge is ANYTHING GOES WITH EMBOSSING FOLDERS
and the TWIST is only there if you want to use it!
AND yep ... we will be offering prizes at our challenges ... that's always a fun surprise!
Here's today's prize offering . . .
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
I appreciate it more than you'll ever know!!
As always . . .
What a beauty! I love everything about it! Great embossing folder, wonderful colors for the season and of course I love the witch!
ReplyDeleteI just love this background you created, and that witch on the white looks perfect too! FUN!
ReplyDeleteFabulously fun Halloween card, the ghost looks as though he floated up out of the steam in the pot and is surprised about it lol!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very pretty card you made Darlene, with the witch and her pot and the little ghost! I like the EF very much.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Hugs, Wilma.
Adorable card! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever background Darlene and perfect for showing off the silhouette! I can't even look at the witch - too scary!!! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card, I love the paper pieced background. Using the embossing folder after you have pieced it is GENIUS!!! Great showcase for that fabulous die cut. Wonderful design here!
ReplyDeleteThat folder really gives some nice texture, and what a great technique to use the pieced background to emboss. Awesome Halloween card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super fun card, Darlene. Your creativity always amazes me. I've been trying hard to remember to play along in all the fun challenges. Thanks for the reminders. I do love to join the fun when I'm able. I hope you're having a blessed, creative and fun week as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's the strangest thing... I have that embossing folder, have used it a bazillion times, and have never noticed how cool the pattern really is. I always saw it as a bunch of random swirls, but your white panel especially shows it off. I had to go look at mine again to be sure it was the same folder, sheesh. Love your dies and that way cool orange and black background. Great card, Darlene!
ReplyDeleteThe witches are coming....! Great silhouette on the embossed background.

Love the EF, and I also love the way the witch's swirls go with the swirls in the embossing. Great card! Very spooky!
ReplyDeleteStunning card, gorgeous colour and beautiful embossing folder design...♥
ReplyDeleteEverything about this card is Spooktacular. Love the bright orange and black colour combo and how you made your background. Love the way it shows your beautiful dies.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
