So sad ...

Good Morning & Happy Sunday Everyone!

How sad is it that these days I sell as many Sympathy cards as I do Birthday cards!  But that seems to be the world we live in today so I just hope my cards can bring comfort to those who have lost loved ones!

Since I am in need of more sympathy cards before this coming weekends craft show,  I decided to join in the challenge over on Addicted to CAS where their theme is Sympathy.

I have used a very old rubber stamp from Paper Inspirations (circa 2005 - #G10096 Sympathy Calligraphy) for the main focus of my card and simply added a few Nuvo Black dots to finish it off.

I also decided to create a second card that is similar but this time, added a touch of color by using the ink that was left in two of my large sponge daubers.

Once again adding a few dots of Nuvo Black under the sentiment.

I hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

We had such a great evening for Trick or Treat last evening.
We had around 200 kids and many of the parents dressed up too which was nice to see!

May be an image of 6 people, child, people standing and outdoors

And, how wonderful to have my daughter, granddaughter, her husband & Great Grandson Charlie come join in the fun.  Charlie turned 3 in September and he had a GREAT time going from door to door collecting treats.  He kept saying 'YAY ... CANDY NIGHT' lol.

Thanks for stopping by ... as always,

  1. This is the way to go with sympathy cards. You can get quite a few done by keeping it simple, too. Nice that you made such pretty use of the ink left on your sponges for the second card. I love LOVE that you shared the trick-or-treat pics! It looks like so much fun in a lovely neighborhood.

  2. Such sweet cards you made Darlene, these Sympathy cards. It needs nothing more for comforting. The text is already so beautiful... Also you published some very pretty photographs.
    Have a lovely day today!
    Greetings, Wilma.

  4. Such a nice CAS sympathy card. Sometimes a heartfelt sentiment is all that's needed. Your great grandson is adorable!
